  1. Cursed content for a nice Sunday . Have a beautiful weekend, everyone Credit: @PoohPalooza on Twitter
  2. Sorry for jumping in between but I agree with you We also have quite a lot of people who are fluent in Japanese here. If anything, we can always double check
  3. Flashback series 4. Chopin ballade ver. 3: The spins versus the original score. I saw this one before, way back in 2019, and I really, really like it. You can really see how musical Yuzu's spins are.
  4. Japan was the first country to hold it and still to this date the only country to pay out the prize money (a whooping 1 million dollars in total). It is an ISU event but IMO you can consider it a Japan's event. Very funny though, when you think about it, because the event is both laxed and not: Skaters ARE forced to go, but there are all these dorky activities for skaters to enjoy, and then scores that almost certainly blow through the roof are officially recognized. I would say it is an iceshow more or less, but with scores as bonuses. (And iceshows pay the best in Japan, so there).
  5. My bet? Double the number we have now, particularly because wrong edges, excessively prerotated jumps and manipulation of evaluation for UR have already become common. In other words, the weather is nice today, just enjoy the circus as it is
  6. Flashback series 3. Fling Lift the wild black swan
  7. I saw this one some days ago. At first I really liked it, then I realized it was used to promote that cursed event in Osaka, so I stopped
  8. Flashback series 2. CWW The way he goes "Ohhhh! Suge!" at the end is both hilarious and adorable
  9. On a related note (but not really), FaOI 2021 is cancelled.
  10. If someone tells me the person on the right is the person on the left in disguise (and vice versa) I would believe them...
  11. https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/15e92963a3c418b9e3612a77f1db97f367c43993 So it seems WTT will still be held. Competition schedule is advanced a little bit. Does it sound familiar? IDF last year tried to do the exact same thing, re:pushing up the schedule to avoid curfew, also amidst an SOE. Know what is worse? There will be live viewing as well, across 36 cities. Just how crazy and thirsty for money are the JSF and ISU? Forcing skaters to freaking go out there while an SOE has to be announced and people are recommended to not even get out of their house @yumeaki Seems like this is the answer to your question about the cursed event (which you posted in the General Skating Chat thread). Edit: I will wait a bit further to see if the ISU will officially say anything about this.
  12. https://figureskate-soi.com/kg/skaters.html I believe this is new. Yuzu is doing Hachinohe as well. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  13. I do believe it is a side effect of training the 4A, but also of the quints (I think we all want to not remember that he has notjust one, but two quintuple jumps in his pockets ). As for his arms, I think there was a video comparing his jumps at 4CC and JNats. Clearly he tucked his arms in a lot tighter at the latter comps. Now, for the cursed event, if we go by the ISU's words then it should be cancelled, what's with SOE and everything. HOWEVER, with more stuff coming out, from promos to plans for live viewing across 36 cities that include Osaka and Tokyo, I don't know
  14. I mean, not even local residents are encouraged to go out for non-essential purposes... Unless this comp is considered essential...
  15. An interview with Margarita Bugaeva. https://matchtv.ru/figure-skating/matchtvnews_NI1335654_Smotru_vystuplenija_Trusovoj_i_ponimaju_chto_vse_dolzhno_byt_vovrema_Match_TV_obshhajetsa_s_prepodavatelem_akterskogo_masterstva_dla_figuristov She has been working with figure skaters on acting, presentation and projection, so these are the focus of the interview. It is quite long but very interesting. Anyway, she admires Yuzu and dreams of working with him . Here is one of her answers (translated via Google Translate). - Do you have a dream student? - Yes, Yuzuru Hanyu. It seems to me that he uses the sources of some kind of internal reserves: meditation, closed trainings of Buddhists from Tibet ( laughs ). Everything makes it so unique. I just want to talk to Yuzuru and understand how he succeeds, what he talks about with the coaches during the production of programs. I am interested in personal growth.
  16. That reminds me, that quote is very familiar. Isn't it Nanami-sensei who told him this?
  17. Twitterland is having a wild trip that starts with pudding and moves now to this iconic moment. I was new to FS at the time, but witnessing everyone on my TL freaking out over this is not something I can forget
  18. So he likes pudding, gyoza and strawberries . Poor the anti that called him pudding something (Or is it that he is a lurker?) Oh and he likes "The girl who leapt through time" . I adore the soundtrack but have never watched the movie. I'm just afraid I will cry my eyeballs off (Learning from watching "Grave of Firefly" I suppose ). PS: His favorite athlete is Kohei Uchimura. BB to Weir, yes? PPS: Twitter is on fire right now about the fact that he likes pudding This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  19. I guess we will know soon. Next ISU meeting is scheduled for April 8.
  20. Osaka has officially entered SoE. The ISU has previously stated that the conditions for WTT to be held would depend on whether SoE is lifted. I guess we will know what these mean after the ISU meeting scheduled for April 8. PS: It seems Team USA plans to depart on April 11 for Japan.
  21. Lilbet The angle makes it hard to judge her jump conditions but her basic skating looks good (let's not talk about the choreo though...)
  22. Look at the height and distance of the 3A, the smooth transition into the spin, how fast, centered and on the beat it is, and Yuzu’s presence emanating even through the screen or from afar
