Apparently it's for testing water. They might already have a plan B, so if it doesn't work out in the GP, they will change it. Maybe if fans make enough noises... -

it's not in Moscow??? Oh wait! Megasport is suspended. Has Sochi ever hosted CoR before?
-
He ends up with the last GP before GPF again. Lordy Also, back to back GP for Nate? Smart kid

No doubt that China will go ahead with the Olys, unless another disaster like the current pandemic happens globally. I think I did mention Beijing Olys Committee observing the summer olys, but that's for identifying ways to hold the winter olys. As for the GP and Asian Open tho, that's another question. Speaking only about China, the ISU stresses that Asian Open must happen, but in what way, I don't know. If the gov is still adamant that only people with Sinovac can enter into the country by then, Asian Open and COC will look like two exclusive events LOL. For other GP events, it's hard (but easier than last year) to tell. Megasport got suspended for breaking Covid rules (hah!) and the Covid situation doesn't look good in Moscow either. Seeing that France was so ready to take over discarded JGP event from Canada, maybe they can do the same for GP as well? LOL
-
I don't know, anything can happen. But yes, the way it is now, I believe what you listed are the two most plausible scenarios. Edit: It's a minimum 14-day quarantine, so not necessarily 21 days (but could be LOL). Also, specific requirements and restrictions depend on localities and regions. The gov is applying an adaptive approach to dealing with Covid, so again, I don't think we can predict anything Edit 2: This is for US residents, but I think it applies for residents for most other countries as well. https://china.usembassy-china.org.cn/covid-19-information/

Yep! That, plus super long quarantine period. I think they still go with 21 days?
-
Off-topic a lil bit, but those events in China a lil unpredictable now. 1) Beijing Olympic Committee will be observing how the summer olympic is held before even making any decisions. 2) Super strict quarantine and vaccine rules in China, which mean there is still a possibility Asian Open and CoC will be held with only Chinese athletes (or someone who is training in China, or allowed to enter China => few) if the rules are not loosen by then.

If ratings (and tickets, if possible) are the decisive factor then Yuzu can get all six and then roll the dice later on to see which one he likes to attend LOL
-
I remember there were some rules at the WTT, which was why Yuzu and Shoma were sent instead. Can't recall what they were tho.
-
It is olys season so I suppose PR will factor more this year. Seeing that JSF is pushing Yuma so hard right now, I still think he will get NHK. Same goes for Nathan I suppose. Anyway, he is free now so choices shouldn't be too hard.

Nathan probably is going with his usual choices: SkAm and IDF. Yuma might get NHK and something else. I have a funny feeling that Yuzu might end up with the last GP before the GPF, AKA Rostelecom Cup. If it comes in full circle, he might get CoC and Rostelecom again.
-
Yes. Some people I know don't want to get it over safety concerns so if they don't have to get it, they won't.
-
I can confirm that there is a portion of the JPN population hesitant to get vaccinated. I dunno how large this group is, but they do exist.
