Gotta love Mark, I remember when I watched him skate for the first time last year at this team comp in Russia, in the free, and he gave me young Yuzu vibes - very raw, but that was my first thought then, similar to young Romeo vibe (it was really great performance). Didn't even know that he is a big Yuzu fan, I guess it just shows

Huh, Yuzu will be only 35 during 2030 Olympics, and only in his 20th senior season

If he wants to go to GP next season, yes. I mean only top 12 at Worlds + eligible Junior champions get 2 spots immediately, but let's be real, of course he will, just can't be seeded. It would be tricky if he wasn't competing at all and wouldn't be at SB list, but even then it could be done using 'comeback rule'. I guess now we wait if he is gonna compete there, wouldn't blame him for taking a longer break at all. Video section probably has all or almost all Yuzu videos/interviews from Olympics https://planethanyu.com/video/browse/115-2022-olympic-games/

Look, it's not gonna be the attempt to defend Ted Barton or anything, but I hardly see stating his opinion of landing widely recognized impossible jump as 'wanting Yuzuru to disappear'. I just don't see it as disregarding at all, on the contrary, I always heard Ted speak very highly of Yuzu. And honestly didn't ever see a reason it's dishonest. Now, to be clear, I don't always agree with him, I don't always like the same skaters, I often roll my eyes at his comments, I still do recognize though what he did for junior skating to get on the map, as well as changing a culture of commentary, I mean, he didn't cover Jr Russian Nationals this year, but their commentators still kept quiet during the programs, maybe it wasn't because of Ted, but he used to be the only one to do that, so yay! (my thoughts about Ambesi are actually even more complicated, despite being a big Yuzu fanboy, he did light a few red lights for me before...)

Where did Ted say anything about Yuzu, that suggested he 'waits for him to disappear'? I ask because I really didn't see it and I want to know.

Beautiful 4A in harness, indeed ;; If he still wants to, I absolutely believe he will achieve it

(I can only assume he didn't understand the meaning of this comment, because if he did... he is really plain stupid /among other things/ wtf.../

It's too bad the situation with Javier escalated like this... Eh, this is what I was afraid the most, some rushed fans again making Yuzuru look bad on the social media... Sigh. I really hope it's just the end of it.... I just feel things like that are only making his fellow skaters more distant, always worried that they will get criticized by fans for making one step wrong around him. And that it makes him even more lonely... Even though it's not his fault at all.

Did you forget, it's Yuzuru Hanyu from CHINA

Why would he come there now, when it's not even sure he will be competing, this season or at all? After he is properly diagnosed and makes a decision, maybe, but I have a feeling he likes being in Japan now, even without coaches.

I should take my own advice and take a break, it were some tough 3 weeks (geez the days of waiting for arrival in Beijing seems like a thousand years ago ) but somehow I can't yet. Seems like I will be in the 'watching more and more Yuzu mode' (diagnosed by my gf for the first time several years ago) for some time. Whatever, watching H&L on the loop has a real healing power, even after reading about Javier outdoing NBC 'specialists' in crulty >.> (pff, like Yuzu ever used an EXCUSE when he made a mistake! )

I honestly think we all should stop thinking for now about what's next for Yuzu, it will be probably some time until he himself knows for sure, and even more until we will know something...

People have different ways of preparing for that, some just need to talk about it to others It will eventually happen, honestly I don't think that Yuzu skating to his past programs means anything much, we will see what is his decision in a due time. But remember he casually said he may be back for next Olympics hehehehe

Is it really surprising though, since he is so popular it's quite obvious he's gonna have the most haters, mostly those who like to question everything just because. It basically happens everywhere, for example even Simone Biles has enormous group of haters that deny she's the GOAT, like it could even be questionable Why pay them any attention? That's what they want.

No he didn't (unless Nathan flopped), the point is, Yuzu's love for skating seems to be much bigger than any heartbreak he may get again. So let him do what he wants, as we see he can't even sit still for more than 3 days I'm prepared for whatever next. I hope he DOESN'T take into consideration anything anyone says/wants, including us desperate fans.
