I don't think it could be "messing around". There was a new restriction put on it, that if you were going to bid more than 500,000 yen that you needed to send an email with various information for it to be confirmed. I don't remember who it was that suggested this but it's likely that Chinese companies are getting in on the bidding since they're hosting the next Winter Olympics. Either than that or some rich Fanyu's in Japan, or other places in the world.

Maybe whoever it was in charge of peeling through the emails with information got through them all and didn't update the bidding until they were all went through? I'm surprised it's gotten that high. I originally thought that it would get up to 50 million and just kinda stagnate there but it's over 55 mil now.

So starting at the topic of recycled programs with my mother, I brought up LGC being brought back and Yuzu wearing a black pantsuit and we both agreed that that would look great. My father then said "what would look great?" having missed the conversation. At first I just said "nothing" because my father couldn't give a crap about figure skating. About 10 minutes later he then says "so nothing would look great?". I then just blurted "Yuzuru Hanyu in a black pantsuit with his hair slicked back" to which he said "Yazari Hando?"

Someone here called it! Saying that it would go up more when people in Japan woke up. The bid ends on the 10th, so 4 days. Curious as to how high it'll go.

I don't think it's been shared yet. I've seen this video so many times it's probably not healthy. Now I can't say I've gone that far. My mom's gone from passively listening to me gush about him to actively wanting to talk about his performances and watch past programs of his. The other day we spent a full hour just watching past FaOI stuff. She's also a musical theater junkie and her face absolutely lit up when I told her he did a program to POTO.

Preach! I wouldn't mind a LGC repeat either, but that was also the first routine of his I saw so perhaps it just as a bit of a nostalgia factor for me.
