So if the prof slips on a piece of chalk and you get to a screen in time, we'll definitely know it was not your fault (seriously though, that is one major case of bad luck, but hey, there's still the 'free' pancake after that!) @liv that one is definitely a stuff of legend But the collective suffering by satellites makes it fun anyway! And now we know more about J golf ... and baseball ... and whatever else was used to brainwash us.

No worries, I think we'd all explode if we couldn't watch but it'll be fine. We're old pros with juggling things like these in order to be able to sit bleary eyed at some ungodly hour and squint at the screen in order to catch skating!

I haven't opened it yet but it will be up during the weekend. Don't worry, we'll have all the instructions ready with plenty of time in advance. VPNs are not difficult at all, a lot of us have been using them to watch skating, so it will be no trouble and we're here to help. There'll definitely be rabbit rooms too so it'll be fine! The admin/moderator team is spread out world-wide if that is what you are asking.

Yes, unless someone bought world-wide rights which then raises the question who that would be? I mean it's not really profitable, even GPs are being (re)moved from schedules.

Just when you think ISU cannot get any dumber they go and prove me wrong. I mean the bar is already buried but I guess I underestimated them and should have dug my way through to China. It is a non-issue with VPNs but still. ISU is going to dodo bird itself but not before it dodo birds skating.

There's nothing wrong with saying it! Let me explain as I feel like this Nessie bit is kind of my fault. The reason why it is Nessie is not the monster part. 4A has always been so elusive, it's been 30 years now, but the 'myth' that it was possible has stuck around. Many people tried 'finding' it, or rather landing it, but it kept escaping them. There was no real proof that 'Nessie' existed. So when the whole thing got started, 4A became Nessie because it is that elusive monster jump, that Yuzuru would finally land and thus prove that Nessie exists. This is why Nessie fit so well. Of course, the J fandom can easily throw Godzilla to signify just how 4A is a fab monster jump Zu 'caught'! It's also a great idea.

@Murieleirum I suppose ideally we'd get one of those big Japanese fan twitters to pick up on it, like blue cosmos and then if they RTed it would definitely spread. Someone would have to tweet in Japanese initially though. We can work something out if it catches on, I am sure! That would be a brill thing, I absolutely agree. Or a cape! Super Nessie, with those words printed on it. Super Nessie being a +GOE Nessie of course, the only kind Zu approves of anyway!

True, no matter how beautiful. And another reason to go for the Nessie-Goat-Pooh triumvirate. @Murieleirum I have no idea if Nessie is known outside of the English fandom (or even to what extent it has spread here). But I'd expect the Japanese don't know about the nickname.
