  1. I thought top 3 in the world can't compete against each other in the first GP events. I think last year the top 3 were Yuzu, Javi, and Shoma and that's why other then Challenger events, they weren't on the same GP events together. It's by world ranking not by WC ranking. I thought. Maybe I'm wrong.
  2. It was never fully appreciated by the judges. I like it every time the ESP uncles wills say that jump came out of nowhere. RIP.
  3. What's unexpected for me is how much the US media portrayed Nathan as a Gold Medal favorite just because he won all his events this season. Yes he won it all, against a depleted field. He beat Yuzu in his first GP event, early in the season when Yuzuru tends to keep the 2 Silver trend a year alive. He won the GPF against the sQUAD with no Yuzuru or Javi in sight. Despite his repertoire of Quads, Nathan never medaled in the World Championship, yet somehow he's the sure fire bet? Edit: I just realized I was talking about Nathan in Yuzuru's chat thread. SORRY! Going back to Yuzuru, I don't think he's ever indicated that he was aiming for all Quads. Brian's put his foot down on Quad Flip and I really think Yuzuru is more focused on his childhood goal of 4 Axel, regaining his 4 Loop and Lutz, and healing fully. He doesn't need 4 Flip at all. I'm assuming his reduced jumping pass FP will be: 4 Axel 4 Lutz ---- 2nd half 4 Sal x 3 Toe 4 Toe-loop-3 Sal Maybe 4 Loop or moved to 1st half, but he seems to want to keep 3 quads in second half. 3A x 2 toe 3 A
  4. They actually found footage of you in your seat crying and edited it in? I'm impressed.
  5. Pretty sure that's a Double Axel. I don't think he has his 3A until 13 or 14?
  6. Did they saddle Javi with all of Yuzu's luggage?
  7. I was actually looking at his face. It's very skinny.
  8. Don't most of the skaters say Axel jump is harder because you are jumping forward and kind of into the void hoping you don't crash and burn at the end of it?
  9. I think I love the 3A so much because a good one is such a rare unicorn in this field of QUAD QUAD QUAD men. Unlike a PR/UR/Flutz quad where you can kind of cheat it into making you think it's a good one, it's hard to cover a bad Axel. Plus our Yuzu is the King of beautiful effortless 3A.
  10. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2018/02/08/olympics/winter-olympics/olympics-figure-skating/shoma-uno-looks-sharp-workout-brian-orser-weighs-yuzuru-hanyus-training/ “Yuzu is planning two quad toe loops, two quad salchows and possibly a quad loop for the free skate,” Orser stated Why am I side eyeing this so hard? Maybe because that means only 1 3A in his program, something I just don't see Yuzu doing. I'm suspicious.
  11. I thought that was my picture for a minute there. I posted the same thing on Tumblr. the one I took was at Haneda Airport on the way to the train station exiting the Domestic terminal so very prominent location.
  12. The team event happens the 1st day of the game. I don't think any athlete will participate in Opening ceremony unles it's mandatory. For example, Michael Phelps didn't participate or was flag barrer until his 4th Olympic. He said he missed it because his first event was the morning after. All FS event starts at 1030, meaning their morning practices is 530. Why would they stay up late standing outside in the cold for hours?
  13. I haven't caught up with the thread, but are people talking about going to 4CC because they think Yuzuru will be going or has it been announced he's going?
  14. Shhh....don't you know telling a certain someone NOT to try something, is guaranteeing that he WILL?
  15. It's alive!!! I was getting that error code all day. I'm glad it's up and running. Any idea what happened?
  16. You guys! There's nothing to be afraid. Yuzuru is a grown ass man. He knows how to train responsibly. Yeah I don't believe what I'm saying either. Go train under the watchful eyes of papa Orser after NHK please.
  17. Looks like 4 Loop is still being a petulant child for being upstaged by 4Lutz
  18. Unfortunately, tiny Japanese ladies are the least likely to tell you off. Evil fanyus need to stick together and tell entitled butthole off if he steals seats. And this was while he's ranting about how impolite Yuzu fans for leaving the ongoing competition to wait in line for the next day.
  19. Seriously cool! Thank you for representing Planet Hanyu so well. How did you even run into Tracey? I hope you told her how much we love her mama Tracey to trollyuzu
  20. He drew 2nd for SP? Isn't that his nemesis?
  21. I see a lot of chatter about the strength of the USFSA. Do you think Japan skating federation has much power (not as much as US obviously). Also, are they pushing both Yuzu and Shoma or do you see them throwing Yuzu under the bus?
  22. I've always loved Yuzu's reaction. I don't think I've seen Brian congratulating him before. He looks so proud of his young precocious son. If it wasn't for fellow Fanyus, I would have never seen this clip. NBC never broadcasted it.
