I asked about this in the music section ages ago because I’m curious, too! It’s a really Japanese sounding synthy thing that’s used a lot in Japanese movie soundtracks and makes me feel really nostalgic. The live orchestration they did when he was injured didn’t have the same ethereal quality but it was played on a synth. I’m nerdy enough about it to want to know the exact machine etc. because I’m in love with the sound so much.

Just walked into a shopping arcade in Kyoto and heard R&J 2! Just gonna take that as some sort of sign of something. Actually it lead me right to a shop selling a bag I need to buy!

I was unbelievably dead after the gala yesterday but felt so hopeless about the poor boy that I decided to drag my lifeless body to Yuzuruha Jinja. I don’t know how I managed it but I’m glad I did. (And I got to see the most adorable children I’ve ever seen in my entire life, ho crap it was redonk I nearly died thank god I bought travel insurance.) I said a very long and awkward prayer and left an ema. There were so many glittery, sparkly ones with Pooh’s and Yuzu’s and gold medals. I’m not sure what the etiquette is on posting photos of other people’s ema, though. It was overflowing but I managed to tie mine to his. I’m not worried about it. He’ll be fine. The only worry is 4lz when he’s only landed it once in competition. But his specialty is miracles so I’ll leave that up to him and TCC. (I’d be very calm about all this if I hadn’t spent my life savings on it.)

Do you think we’ll ever find out what he had planned for the gala? I want to make myself want to die some more, apparently.
