  1. Today I had my very last exam at university and I took a piece of Yuzu with me. It was a music exam and we had an elective topic to prepare. Mine was the use of music in figure skating... I showed Yuzu's H&L performance in Helsinki to my professor and I analyzed it a bit. He didn't know anything about figure skating, but seemed interested. He said he didn't expect athletes and coreographers to pay so much attention to the music and that the performance had intrigued him. He also commented on Yuzu ("Oh, he is so young!" and "He can do whatever he wants on ice") . It was really a nice exam and I am glad I was able to combine study and passion (and to promote figure skating and Yuzu). Also @gladi's translation of the interview with Keiichi Yano had the perfect timing for me. Thank you so much for sharing it!
  2. I can't follow the event because I have to study But I leave you something I just found and that made my morning
  3. My comment comes a bit late, sorry. Every time I watch this kind of videos, showing the person more than the athlete, I feel a little weird Since I spent all my teens falling in love with self-confident witty guys, I'm quite sure that if I met Yuzuru in real life I would have a huge crush on him...
  4. Awww Thank you, Hydroblade! I bet you can't guess what I chose
  5. I didn't think about that! Yes, the new look is great
  6. Since day 1 in Makuhari we have shared our thoughts on the program and now we can read Yuzu’s own words. Thank you, Gladi, for giving us this great opportunity! I appreciate your work so much I totally agree with him about the 3A and I love the combo perfectly matching the music. As regards the spins, watching Kobe broadcast I was thinking that they are never exactly the same. The arms and hands movements vary, especially in the flying camel spin (but I think they are always beautiful ). Yuzu is so sweet. He really deserves all the support we can give him and more
  7. Totally agree with you
  8. I know I'm strange, but those heads give me creepy vibes What do you think about this one? I love the color, but I don't understand the "corset"...
  9. This forum is an endless source of off-season issues to discuss, from singing ability and trashbag pants to chocolate cake. And I think it's great Yuzu, we love you so much
  10. Every time I see pics like this I'm so jealous of Pooh san
  11. http://streamdreams.org/watch-movie-onmyoji-online-free.html I watched it here (there are english subs)
  12. I know I'm biased since I love Hisaishi's music, but every time I read that sentence it's like a slap in the face
  13. LOL I can totally relate to this. I sent the music and different versions of the program to my friends, even if they don't follow figure skating. They made a fool of me because I couldn't stop praising Yuzu's performance at Worlds and I always ended up speaking about it (Next year I'm going to Worlds with some of them and they are already tired of listening to my ramblings [I do wish Yuzu could be there ]).
  14. I didn't know it, thank you for the information (even if that "elevator music" almost killed me )
  15. Thank you, Gladi! Nice interview, but I don't agree with Brian about the understanding of the program. I was touched by it from the very first time and I think it's easy to see the connection Yuzu has to the piece and to understand the meaning of the program. Hisaishi's music in itself is so powerful and from the beginning of the season Yuzu was able to interpret it beautifully, even if he didn't manage to land all his jumps. I don't remember when, but Yuzu said that this season, while skating, he could feel people reacting to his programs very differently: they went crazy for his SP and were calmer for his FS, as if they were captured by the atmosphere of the piece. I cried many times watching H&L, even before Worlds, (I'm sure I'm not the only one) and if you read what Yuzu said about it it's clear why: "It is music which I can smile from my heart", "I think it's a programme that I can bare myself to skate" (Ice Jewels Vol.4, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1610393525875114/permalink/1803539466560518/). He also added that it's a program easy to watch, so sorry Brian, I trust Yuzu more than you.
  16. At the beginning I thought the acting was quite strange because of the exclamations and the exaggerated facial expressions (I'm not used to Japanese movies), but after a while I didn't notice them anymore and I enjoyed the story, which is not too much slow imo (I particularly appreciated Abe no Seimei being a little bit extra just like Yuzu ). I also payed attention to the soundtrack to figure out if there's another part of it that can be used for a program, but I love Seimei so much that nothing seemed better than it.
  17. I've just finished watching Onmyoji (at this point I'm starting preparing myself for the possible Seimei 2.0 ) and now, thanks to this food talk, I think I'll have a midnight snack
  18. No doubt his fans are very good observers
  19. Someone said that Yuzu should have fixed the first spin because there was something wrong with the music and I've thought the same till now. But, watching the good resolution video of his third Chopin performance at Makuhari, I have changed my mind and started loving it
  20. Mai's reaction = my reaction << Max and Angelo's reaction (it's always a pleasure to follow their commentary)
  21. I was looking for something like this to make a comparison. These videos are so useful and ejoyable to watch Thank you for sharing!
  22. I shared this post in the general chat, but I just realized this thread would be a more appropriate place for it. I read this on Facebook: "Please help Hanyu Yuzuru get nominated on TC Candlers 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2017❣ ⚠*THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YUZU GET NOMINATED*⚠ 1. Post a nice picture of Yuzuru and tag @tccandler on Instagram 2. Hashtag #yuzuruhanyu and #100mosthandsomefaces under Yuzuru's photos. 3. Comment under @tccandler's pictures about Yuzu Thanks guys and share this to every social media page you have xD" https://www.facebook.com/groups/1610393525875114/permalink/1909416642639466/
