Hi satellites!! As some of you may know some admins/mods and volunteers have been updating the Yuzuru News and Updates Thread since 2017! It was a lot of effort and coordination from satellites, and I'd just like to thank @robin @sallycinnamon @ralucutzagy @MrPudding for doing this for YEARS. With a global pandemic looming over our heads in the recent months we have relaxed our rule stating that politics may not be discussed on the forum. Political discussions related to COVID-19 are allowed as long as they are kept within the specified thread. So we made the decision to remove the gallery. It hasn't really been used, which is understandable, because there are way better places to upload images and get better engagement. It costs us a little bit of money every year, and even though it isn't much, we decided it would be better to replace it with other things that are more useful. Thanks to everyone who uploaded images. Please download all your images because we can't guarantee that we'll be able to retrieve them afterwards. We'll be getting rid of the gallery in 1 month (July 25, 2020), so hopefully anyone who wants will have time to save their images. Thank you for understanding

Hi everyone! So it's almost been a year since Planet Hanyu was born (time passes so fast... ). At the beginning, we went with a year of the best hosting plan on the current server we're using, and it cost $823.60 for the first year, which was paid for by donations (thank you ). We also paid $264 for a LiteSpeed license to make the site faster. (And then there were other fees like getting the forum license.) When we signed up for hosting, we got a 34% newcomer discount.
