  4. The knitted Yuzu doll is super cute and really beautifully made. Here are my extremely amateurish crocheted Poohs made for last year's Yuzu birthday celebrations. Each is wonky in its individual way. I would very much like to make a Yuzu doll but I would be afraid that my inadequate effort may be seen as insultingand I would never want that to be the case.
  5. Oh so thoughtful the white rabbits are trying to cool Kaku chan

  11. I think its more of where and how their weight is being distributed in the "fall/step out". Yuzu's foot seemed to slip out more when he puts his hands down and he catches himself enough to step out so his hands supported a lot more of his weight. Its almost like his weight transferred mostly to his hands for a split second to get his feet back under him. While Patricks step out was more his one hand only having some but not most weight on it and his feet supported the rest as he stepped out and he place both hand down by only the fingertips demonstrating both hands were balancing him but his weight was mainly on his feet. Honestly its hard to tell where a persons weight is and they both seem to be riding the edge of meeting what the isu considers a fall. I'm assuming the technical panel had more video angles to analyze their blades and edges to come to that conclusion. Maybe since Yuzuru is newer at this time he hasnt had as many of his crazy saves showing his edge control and keeping his weight more towards his feet. And Patrick who is known for deep edges and can keep his weight on his skates well with deep edges just has that slight advantage over Yuzuru. But a disclaimer as someone who isnt the most knowledgeable about figure skating this is only a guess.
  12. *Machine translation from Japanese to English, inaccuracies exist* [P. 220-231] Special Dialogue, Once Again Ryōjun Shionuma (Dai Ajari) + Yuzuru Hanyu (Professional Figure Skater) Living Within the Flow The special dialogue, "The Meaning of 'Living,'" between Dai Ajari Ryōjun Shionuma, chief priest of Jigenji Temple in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, and professional figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu, first appeared in the October 2024 issue [Translaton here]. In response to the many readers who said, "We want to hear more from the two of them," we are pleased to present this second installment. Where do these two now find themselves, and what is in their hearts, as they meet once again? Along with the profound exchanges that can only arise between two people who deeply respect one another, this feature also includes answers to a Q&A personally written by Hanyu, as well as a look at Dai Ajari Shionuma's lifelong prayers for peace throughout the world. Once again, every word resonates. NOTES:
  13. This is the second installment of the special dialogue "The Meaning of 'Living'"—a conversation between Ryojun Shionuma (Head Priest of Jigen-ji Temple in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, and a Dai-Ajari—a master of the highest rank in the Omuro school of Shingon Buddhism) and professional figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu—following the enthusiastic response to their first discussion in the October 2024 issue. What are their current mindsets and perspectives as they converse once more? Beyond the profound exchange born of their mutual respect, the feature includes handwritten Q&A responses from Hanyu and insights into the life and prayers for global peace of Dai-Ajari Shionuma; every word resonates deeply. 20. Clips of Yuzu skating in his Couture on Ice costumes. He looks magnificent!
  21. Yes, Yuzu put both hands down at the same time in 3F. In Patrick's 3A, both of his hands touched the ice but not concurrently. However, Patrick also put both hands down **at the same time** in his 4T. To me, the distinction is very small, and Yuzu lost 1pt, but Patrick didn't. My feeling is that Patrick got a slight advantage here. Fortunately, it didn't affect the ranking.
  22. It looks like Yuzu put two hands down and Patrick only one, so maybe that's it? I am not well-versed in how the judges decide things so maybe someone else with more knowledge than me could weigh in
