yuzuangel
Happy new year! I figured I'd make a thread for happy memories + 2017 achievements and 2018 wishes and goals. Your reflections can be anything: life/family/friends/school/work/personal/health/or even Yuzu related! I'll start: -- 2017 Reflections -- 1. Started skating 2. Started at a job, that I like, that also allows me to skate 3. Visited Europe for the first time (guess what for?) 4. Started learning Japanese (although I somewhat stopped, but hopefully I'll start again soon) 5. And this site, of course -- 2018 Wishes -- 1. Continue skating more 2. Visit Japan (again) (for something other than skating, but if I get to go to an ice show or two on the way, great! XD) 3. Learn how to draw 4. Take steps to becoming more financially responsible 5. Continue supporting Yuzuru in achieving everything he's ever wanted and deserved
Smultron
Awww, this is such a lovely idea for a thread For me 2017 was about - writing a thesis and getting a degree - rediscovering figure skating (my grandma called and said Worlds were being broadcast and since then nothing has been the same ) - discovering the Planet - going to my first live event, yay - living abroad on my own for a while - getting to do some awesome freelance stuff (teaching and translating) In 2018... - either apply for further education or get a proper job - learn to be more disciplined and responsible - go to a GP event? - eeehh stop being so afraid of everything all the time
Xen
Reflections on 2017: - Got back into skating, and started officially following Yuzu (not sure why it took me so long honestly) - The Planet here, naturlich - Got to finally travel to Canada for ACI. And my first skating comp live, got to see Yuzu break his own SP WR -ACI 2017- got autographs from Weaver and Poje, photos with Tracy, Meghan and Eric, Misha Ge () -ACI: meeting so many satellites and the number of buttons, swans, just little things that reminds me why we're all here, cheering and tearing out/losing our hair together -Did I mention ACI? Yeah... -Doodling fanart for secret santa, I rediscovered my love of drawing, and that my art skills are really...sad now What to do for 2018: -Finally locate a skating coach? -Try to go to ACI 2018 and GPF? I like Canada, and seeing as I spent half my life in North America, NA is a second home for me -Get back into drawing fully, so my ina bauers actually look correct (less family members going "eh, your figure drawing abilities have gone down the tube.")-and fix that tablet of mine -Take up ballet or Yoga to increase my flexibility, it's good for skating too and helps de-stress -Less OT for work, or try to schedule my workload properly, so HR stops freaking out, and the doctors will be a bit happier -Possibly pick up japanese? It's one language that's been on my to learn list since childhood -Get more sleep on weekdays
