November 20, 20214 yr Stepanova/Bukin Skating in PC's costumes, it seems. She hardly glides. but not a bad concept over-drama towards the end. No idea what Romeo and Juliet have to do with this?
November 20, 20214 yr I don't think Romeo and Juliet is a good vehicle for a mature ice dance team as a youth naivety is an inherent part of the story, it becomes a bit grotesque to portray for seniors in their mid 20s and older.
November 20, 20214 yr Everybody praises always Guillaume (rightly so) but I think Gabi is a really sensational performer with her lines, variety of expression and passion, I couldn't take my eyes of her. She really feels that tango theme. Mark, agree! Thank you for saying that.
November 20, 20214 yr having a busy day today so could only watch the last three couples in ice dance free dance: Stepanova and Bukin: I really like this program! Innovative and creative, fresh and young, I think they're bringing something really good here. Piper&Paul: Not gonna lie, I think 'Both Sides Now' is the better program. This one feels like it's lacking somewhere. I can't put my finger on it, but it's not doing it for me. That being said, they skated it well. Gabby & Guillaume: Love their costumes, love the music choice...still not sure how I feel about the program. The skating was exquisite. And as always, I marvel at how Guillaume makes Gabby look so weightless. She just floats around him like a cloud in every lift.
