I do hope (though at the same time I cannot really belive it) that Yuzu has freely chosen to attend WTT... because I cannot avoid remembering what happened to Miguel Indurain ,the best cyclist we have ever had in Spain, after he was forced to take part in La Vuelta a España... :weeping:

I don't understand a word....

1) I didn't know Yuzu likes to attend WTT

2) If Japanese skaters have to be under isolation, that this means they won't be able to train until de competition?

3) What about skaters from other countries? Did they go back to their training bases and will travel to Japan with no quarantine in any direction?

Any info is wellcome since I don't really understand anything.

Thank you so much.

For question no 2.i read from the news that 3 days after pcr result comeback negative, they can practice in an isolated practice rink.Practice only among themselves.Kind a likema small bubble among them. They will stay in designated quarantine place and has transport for practice

.2. Consequences of non-participation
It is of the highest importance that Rule 136 paragraph 6 of the ISU General Regulations be respected and

What is the format for WTT? Is it the same like for team events in Olympic where a skater can choose to skate short or free program?

They skate both SP and FS

Thank you so much for all this info, but... could Japan has selected Shoma and Yuma instead? If I'm right Canada is not sending Keegan... Thanks once more.

I am happy as you for Yuzu performance in All Japan Figure Skating Championships.

But I don't mean to offend you and just clarify about the speed.

FS
Yuzuru Hanyu https://www.instagram.com/tv/CM7U7yXggvv/  P.S This skating speed happened when he suffered asthma attack.

Yuma Kagiyama ttps://www.instagram.com/tv/CM7Us5pArbn/

Nathan Chen  https://www.instagram.com/tv/CM7UPGbgfN2/

SP
Yuzuru Hanyu  https://www.instagram.com/tv/CM2OSGcAgLl/
Nathan Chen  https://www.instagram.com/tv/CM2K0b3AgvI/

I find some of Nathan's programs interesting (my favorite being rocketman) but I've never really watched any them with this camera angle where we can see the whole rink, now that I saw it I just can't put into words how overscored he actually is. The jumps are obviously the best part of his program the technique he have is super clean the jumps looks good and well landed but that's it, like where is the transitions? He doesn't make difficult entries or exits, it honestly looks like all he's doing is crossover crossover jump or crossover glide jump it does not appear that the program have a flow to it, the choreography looks very simple not as difficult as it could be for an athlete at his level he also does not incorporate tiny parts of the choreography between any of his jumps like I've seen Yuzuru did in the past. The step sequence is ok but it could be better the spins are also decent, but in the end it all looks kinda boring to be honest.

If Nathan is not doing any of this extra things to help him get higher goes how can he achieve this super high scores?  :hihi:

They could but Yuzu brings the most money for them. Canadaian fed said already before Worlds that they would select skaters who will not compete at Worlds, since it's impossible to fly back to Canada, quarantine there and go to Japan.

How is he not relevant? Following their logic, if the new Worlds Bronze medalist and JNats Champion with 2 clean skates 3 months ago, who is never off podium since 2014, is irrelevant, I wonder how many guys are relevant in men's skating.

Those people don't understand why he is still competing as they think that winning should be the only motivation. They don't understand that there can be more in skating than scores and medals. 4A is what he wants right now. Will he land it cleanly in competitions? Who knows? I certainly hope so, but even if he won't, why can't he talk about it when he is asked about his motivation? Do all the skaters who talk about their OGM dream get an OGM? Is it OK to ridicule them if they don't realize the dream?

Sorry but that comment really angers me.

Exactly everyone have a different motivation it can be "i want to win an OGM" like Yuma or Nathan's motivation but it could also be "I want to land a 4A" that is Yuzu's motivation or it could be "I want to prove that even if you're older you can still keep up with younger skaters" that is Elizaveta's motivation, not everyone's goal is to win the Olympics or a World title especially Yuzu since he already won or got podium in pretty much every competitions out there.
