General Yuzuru Chat

This is part 1 of the General Yuzuru Chat discussion.

I have a dread of warhorses, but one skater who could really do them justice was Tatsuki Machida. If you're a mature enough skater, you can put your own stamp on them. Yuzu is now at that place. I'm not worried.

Shae? Do we have any news about Shae?

Scheduled to do Radionova's LP May 2-7.

Ok so Jeff is doing SOI, DW is busy for Marin, Shae is busy for Radionova. That leaves a possibility, Yuzuru is still choosing music and he has not decided yet. :drinkcoffee:

Or he already has choreography done :yay:

Yup, Lena should be in Toronto now.

Last year she posted photo with Shae

I'm not sure, but I think it was taken at the same rink Shae does choreo with Yuzu?

It is a place called the sports village. They provide a rink for ice rentals and you can see here from their schedule when it is booked haha. They are quite fully booked until the whole May. :D

ETA : Marin honda and DW rented here too (saw from her instagram post). Basically mostly everybody. You can see different sessions are being booked.

I wonder if he'd already had his choreo, didn't Brian say they keep the best music for this season? So it means they'd prepared very early or not? I'm worried now

Yeah, i think Yuzuru is already practicing his new programs (i guess he has two new programs?

But, do you guys think he would be crazy enough to choreograph his own programs? :scratch3: :hachimaki:

Maybe just his exhibition

Does he have an interest in doing choreography? I have to say, when I envision his future, it seems more likely to me that he would follow Brian's path of being a technical coach/leading a skating program. And now Plushenko's path also.

Yuzuru's choreography for team Japan was horrible. No choice of Yuzuru being a choreographer.

He can be a technical specialist. Bless those who might get called though...

Yes, please! A lot of skaters will benefit from it. But they have to decipher the Planet Hanyu Onomatopoeic Language first. ;)

... or, as he told Brian last year, "if he hasn't the jumps, he can't have the choregraphy", so he's doing intensive 4Lz and 4A training :rofl2:

my guess is that he is already done, PC is his goal there is no way he is not thinking and planning about it already :devil3: ,( tho he can still make changes)

sure, he seems fun but maybe awake somehow. Or can he become sport spychologist? For what he gained in university, i don't know, just :yay:  for what he will choose

If...

If Javi didn't fall, doubled his triple, stumbled on other few jumps and simply didn't mess his whole LP he surely would have won.

If Shoma could show nearly clean landings, instead of shaky and stiff ones (I'm not saying anything about his take off because it seems they just refuse to notice it) he'd have won.

If Boyang didn't do mistakes he'd have won.

If Patrick could putt on more difficult program and went clean with it he'd have won.

If Nathan could try to show real skating instead of jumping or at least did whatever he was without mistakes he'd have won.

Too much "if..." don't you think? It was not like in cases when one little mistake could cost a title.

I'm not trying to underestimate others and really like Shoma and Javi's LP for example but true is All the other skaters should just skated nearly clean for a medal chance whereas Yuzuru should do his best and even more. True is judges was ready throw this points whomever but Yuzuru. And he gave every opportunity to the others to win. He did that mistake in SP which did cost him about 10 points. But no one could use it. No one but himself with his legendary free skate.

And it's just funny how some people feeling sorry for Patrick all the time since 2014, and successfuly forgetting about how he's won for example Worlds in 2012, when even good old kind-hearted b.esp Simon called it "ridiculous". İt could sound tough...but I am always taking results of OG 2014 as a some kind of karma. Of course it's not skaters fault as a person and Patrick very good skater though. But it's what it's.

We have that saying in French that comes from a poem "avec des "Si", on mettrait Paris en bouteille which translates by With "if" Paris could be put in a bottle

And it shows how ridiculous people can get when letting their supposition go wild

He would have to work on his communication. But his analysis is so good—he sees skaters' strengths and weaknesses so clearly—that he would come up with the right plan for them.
