Empress 3A: a smart, dignified and regal lady of good upbringing. She has been through thick and thin with the emperor ever since he started his reign. Recently, with the potential birth of princess baby 4A on the horizon, her health has taken a slight dip. But considering her upbringing, she is usually able to reliably perform all requisite functions of her position with aplomb.

 

Lady 4T: the second one to enter the harem. A talented one who was pursued for what her family could bring to the kingdom, and while beautiful, she has been known mostly for her quiet, stable support of the emperor’s endeavors, at times acting on behalf of Empress 3A when the empress has been sick. However, due to her older age, she has been more worried recently with the arrival of the new ladies, especially as the emperor has not given as much attention to her. As such, she had started locking herself in her chambers out of sadness, fearing that she will be abandoned. With some encouragement by the minister poohs, she has gradually come back to court to perform her normal duties.

 

Lady 4S: a lovely talented and smart lady from a scholarly family. She is capricious at times, and very opinionated, vocally opinionated. Unlike other ladies who would quietly lock themselves away in their rooms in protest, usually lady 4S, when she protests, will write lengthy sarcastic poems mocking our emperor. Or directly rebuff him, publicly. Recently though, it seems the emperor has had a heart to heart (or mind to mind) talk with her, so she has gradually stepped up to her duties, and given support while several other ladies were moping. Hopefully this is a good indicator for the future.

 

Lady 4Lo: a lady with an elusive, ethereal quality to her beauty, pursued by many but won by our Emperor.  As a new one to the court, she still feels ever so unsecure in her position in the court. Especially as recent arrivals have threatened her position. As she is not sure how to directly express her displeasure and insecurity, she has resorted to more passive aggressive means, such as sending in her servant 3Lo, in her stead to important court functions. As she is new, the emperor will need to talk to her personally to assuage her fears.

 

Lady 4Lz: an uncommon beauty, with a bit of foreign blood. The emperor had been in pursuit of her for over 3 years, and only until recently has she coyly accepted to enter his harem. It seems the real reason was the emperor finally appealed to her sense of adventure, even if only an intellectual sort, to go after real challenges such as changing his court system. Unlike the other ladies, she is a feisty one, opinionated with all sorts of foreign notions she has gleaned from her travels, with suggestions of reforms. The emperor has been slightly amused, supportive and exasperated at her antics, since she has proceeded to upset several mochi carts even though several of her suggestions have been implemented to great success. She is still figuring out the limitations of her powers and the proper functions of her position, with guidance from the minister poohs.

After years of training, she has come to know Lady 4T as a dear friend and will serve her well unless she's throwing an occasional tantrum. Lady 4S is more feisty and often leave 3T behind in public, to the dismal of everyone. If that was Lady 4S strategy to gain the emperor's attention, she succeeded. Ever since the heart to heart talk with the emperor, she has mellowed down and allowed 3T to perform her duties (most of the time). 

 

Everyone is excited about the birth of princess 4A soon, including the emperor himself. All the ladies are starting to brace themselves for a long period of neglect when the emperor will give all his attention to baby 4A. Hopefully, with the help of prime minister Pooh and sensible empress 3A, the ladies will still perform their duties well.

That's a very very interesting look on some of the inner workings of the TCC. I think it's a mark of an excellent training centre to think of employing a psychologist just for the purpose of reducing stress in the Olympic year. Not that Yuzu would ever make use of one, he'd have to speak English more... Yuzu's big on self-reflection, though so maybe...?

 

The juxtaposition of Yuzu vs. Javi attitude towards training was interesting. For Yuzu the falls and frustration are part of training, for Javi it's self-torture. (I really hope this won't backfire on Javi because while Javi may not need quad Lutz, he will need the Loop because even clean skate with just Toe and Sal may lock him out of podium even if other top dogs make some mistakes).

 

Not everyone can handle a harem of quads. =P

 

That aside, this is why Yuzu is a champion. I would say Javi's mentality is what most commoners have, but Yuzu the evil overlord is different.

Lady 4F can try really hard but she'll not win the emperor's heart. She thought that she's a prettier version of her friend 3F and will be able to do what 3F was never able to do.

 

Backstory of 3F:

Lady 3F has never been the emperor's favorite, so she tried to pretend to be Lady 3Lz. What she did backfire and annoyed everyone in the court. It took prime minister Pooh a while to make sure she performs her duty as 3F and never try to impersonate Lady 3Lz again. After so many seasons, she has accepted her fate and performs her duty consistently. She's content that she still has a place by the emperor's side after seeing many of her triple friends leave the palace or get demoted to servants.

But there's evil in the F-line. When Lady 3F was caught out, she didn't accept  her fate so easily. She sought revenge, and made her Emperor stumble during his Great Battle, when he trusted her to be by his side! Dark deeds may be wrought by Lady 4F...

Their relationship started long long ago, before the emperor was so good at keeping the Quad Harem. For a long time the emperor preferred her company but knew that he needed the Jump Harem to become a powerful ruler. Now he's happily married to Empress 3A but Duchess sit spin will always be his first true love since they were little kids.

The Duchess is happy to see how far he's come and accepts that she alone wouldn't have allowed him to reign with wisdom. But a relationship like that is hard fo forget, and they still meet frequently.

To be fair to Duchess Biellmann, she has known the emperor since he was a child. Back when they were both children, the emperor adored Biellmann.

 

But due to her upbringing, Duchess Biellmann could never become a lady in court. As the years go by, the emperor's harem grows. Despite that, Duchess Biellmann stays loyal to the emperor and comes only when he needs her. She's always watching the emperor from afar and is delighted when he summons her, even if it's only for a short while. Such is the sad and lonely fate of the beautiful Biellmann.

Duchess Sit Spin's realm was simply not powerful enough to form the kind of alliance he needed to become the Emperor. They were childhood sweethearts, now become the best of friends, and they know that they will always be together, no matter how many others there might be.

All the Duchess form their own support group. It's unfortunate but the rules written in the ancestry by a mysterious organization ISU has assigned a hierachy of castes. The quad ladies are high born, while the spins are plebeians.  Although the emperor loved all the spins, he knew a long time ago that eventually he'll need to get a harem of jumps to stay relevant.
