Yuzuru Hanyu ICE STORY 2023 'GIFT' at Tokyo Dome
nekodearu replied to Yuzu_legend's topic in 2023 Ice Shows
On the Globe Coding site, they said that if you buy the ticket after the live streaming, only archived video will be available (which is kinda obvious). If I understand it correctly, this means that you can buy the ticket also after the event, as long as the video is archived, i.e. until 1 March 23:59 HK/TW time (minus the time it takes to watch the recording).- 1,245 replies

Many things have already been said, I would like to add one more. I guess that some of us are puzzled by Yuzu's participation in SOI because of our feelings and judgments about some of the people or institutions involved in the event. But that's just it: these are OUR feelings and opinions, not Yuzuru's. I wouldn't be surprised if he himself was just preparing for another funny event with skaters he not only LIKES, but REALLY VALUES. He knows better than we do how much work, determination and skill it takes for a skater to get to the top. Even if some athletes seem to have a different ideal of skating than he does, he can still hold a high opinion of their skating or at least some aspects of it, especially those that have brought them many fans, even if we are indifferent to them because they don't appeal to our tastes. I'm happy that he won't be a lonely island. Being a member of a community is a good thing. The show is also another opportunity for him to skate for his fans, this time at the lowest possible cost and effort (unless he decides to try something riskier than he can afford during his own show). For me that's a win.

I am sorry. You can try again in 24h, I hope it works for you this time.
-
For me it was: First box: Poland+48 (selected from the drop-down list) Second box: my number without dialing area code, without spaces (entered by me).
-
Did you enter your number in the correct format? I mean, did you select the Canadian area code in the field preceding the one for your mobile number?

Thank you for telling us this extremely sad news. I've been wondering lately how she was doing, after she went silent on this forum. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. I hope she has found peace.

I didn't get that far to find it, because the info is on the site of the ticketing agency, KKTIX in this case, as far as I can understand (I'm too excited to focus properly, and I'm just going somewhere). Anyway, it's not through Disney+. Globe Coding seems to be a platform for the worldwide live viewing of concerts and other events, which is good, because you don't have to subscribe to any VOD platform, you just buy a ticket for this particular event.

Registration is free, for streaming you have to buy a ticket.

Well, well, well, I've heard some rumors that someone was frantically searching for "the most valuable skater" for the last couple of months. Let's see... Ah, now I get it! It's not easy to find tiny Yuzu sitting in one of the 50,000 seats in Tokyo Dome, checking if the view is good enough for the FS fans.

I love his voice and I would happily buy his audiobook, but in the other cases I would be concerned about the possible misuse of his virtual representation. He would loose the connection to his own audiovisual identity, letting people do what they want. That's a scary thought.

I'm so excited about what he is preparing!

Hug-me-Hanyu 😂

Well, as much as I need someone to talk to about my impressions, I don't think he needs any comment on this right now. He may be skating to Final Time Traveler, but he doesn't have any time machine to go back and do more than one thing at a time. Besides, I can only say what I see, and I cannot see the whole picture. He himself knows best what he wants to achieve and is moving towards his goals at the speed of light. At the end of the day, he is the one who constantly surprises, I just sit back and watch. But yes, I would love to see one day The Final Time Traveler in a big format, maybe with special effects, a virtual background etc., as Henni once suggested

I concur. Although I think hiring a cameraman would make the videos more expensive and less personal. I like the fact that he shares something he does on his own from A to Z. It's like he's sending private messages to his fans. In the process, he displays new skills, great creativity and innovation. On the other hand, I must admit that I couldn't fully connect with this particular performance on the level I would expect from FTT (FTT!!! Yes, I have cosmic expectations from his FTT ), even though it is one of my favorite programs and that it has been SO BEAUTIFULLY executed here. FTT is pure magic and this performance is sublime, so smooth and flowy, perfectly into the music, and his layback spin... And yet I still feel a little detached. Maybe it's because of the lack of close-ups, but also due to the perspective: he appears mainly in the upper half of the screen, often far away, and sometimes blends with the background containing a lot of detail, which I find a bit distracting. Film as a genre has its own language when it comes to creating an atmosphere of intimacy or, on the contrary, a sense of distance, and with these shots I can't help but feel a little distanced. (I also regret that with this angle the shape of the mark left on the ice is often invisible, as in 3:16. Yes, I watched the video many, many times ). But there is always something for something, this way I get unusual, unexpected shots and something that comes directly from him (and a legal recording of one of his gems that won't disappear unexpectedly from the web). I really like how he experiments with editing. All his films look like A LOT of work, and he's doing it just to please us That's amazing.

On the other hand, if you think about it, one baseball player throwing/hitting/catching the ball or running to the base is not much bigger or more visible to the audience than one figure skater gliding across the ice And as for the Yuzuru-only details, I can't imagine more beautiful sight than his expressive fingertips on a huge stadium screen.

Is he outright saying in the book that he changed programs precisely because he wanted to confirm his suspicions that the problem was not with his programs or performances, but with the scoring and biased judges? What a bold move it was! Badass!

I would be happy if someone offered him the release of an official English version of all parts for international fans.

Found it! I also add his FS:

Sorry to interrupt a serious thread with something silly, but I've just discovered that kanji 羽 is a counter not only for birds, but also... rabbits! Well, in the Year of the Rabbit I will certainly be counting - on 羽生選手 to jump joyfully to the next level of awesomeness 🐰 🐇

Thank you for the recommendation, I agree, he was very nice to watch. I couldn't find his SP, do you have any link?
-
Jason's body control in this SP was exquisite. This scoring system fails to recognise it. The fact that he got in Components only 3 points more than the next competitor proves that the overall quality of skating cannot be properly evaluated under the current rules.

Wow, thanks, these are great pictures! One can see how skillful framing makes a difference.

I didn't have time to watch it earlier, but it is a very nice interview, not only the Yuzu-related part. Thank you, @Anni.
