Gorgeous. Dear Yuzu looks drained, please hope that he is getting rest and can recharge himself. Just like everyone else, wondering what tomorrow's programme will be, One Summer's Day again or completely different from the three programmes already show cased. Would be so pleased if Firebird graces the ice, for the sheer majesty of the costume.

https://www.wizardingworld.com/writing-by-jk-rowling/mahoutokoro Japanese Wizarding School Mahoutokoro ( literal translation Place of Magic ) It may also be one of the oldest Schools of Magic and is described as ancient. Students attend from age 7, boarding at 11 years old. The Japanese Wizarding School has 4 houses. Boarding students are split among four houses, House Seiran, House Yosamu, House Toppuu, and House Shunrai. Houses reflect specific events in nature and attributes that are exemplified by students within each placement. House Seiran House Seiran, "Winds of the Mountaintop," is the first student house. Those of House Seiran are characterized by their keen intuition and inner strength. They are known for seeking creative solutions for problems and being fiercely protective of their allies. The House Seiran common room is the Seiran Observatory. House Yosamu House Yosamu, "Chill of the Deep Night," is the second student house. Those of House Yosamu are characterized by their patience and adaptability. They are known for mental fortitude in piecing together parts of the whole and completing challenges quickly. The House Yosamu common room is the Yosamu Meadow. House Toppuu House Toppuu, "Sudden Squall Upon the Sea," is the third student house. Those of House Toppuu are characterized by their quick wit and perceiving minds. They are known for being inwardly meticulous and precise, but outwardly carefree and blithe. The House Toppuu common room is the Toppuu Porthole. House Shunrai House Shunrai, "Distant Spring Thunder," is the fourth and final student house. Those of House Shunrai are characterized by their confidence and curious minds. They are known for testing boundaries and a thirst for knowledge. The House Shunrai common room is the Shunrai Planetarium. https://mahotokoro.fandom.com/wiki/Houses_Overview Students of Mahoutokoro are sorted upon entry into one of four houses. Houses are designated by the learning styles and innate skills of each student, grouped into four main categories. T/N - The houses at Mahoutokoro may not have a direct equivalent as the houses at Hogwarts. The houses at Ilvermorny are based on people's character/ body part and aptitudes e.g heart and healers taken in to Pugwudgie, mind and scholars taken in to Horned serpent Robes begin as light pink and change colour with increasing mastery of magical skills. Wizards whose robes turn white are said to have betrayed the principle of magical practice, with immediate expulsion and trial at the Japanese Ministry of Magic Students also attend non magical school in order to ensure all round education, as decreed by Japanese Ministry of Magic Quidditch was introduced by European Wizards, as a result the Mahoutokoro students became very proficient at the game. T/N - Of Historical interest: Ice skating was introduced to the Japanese by European visitors. The place where ice skating was introduced was at Gokishinuma pond in Sendai, now said to be the birthplace of Ice Skating in Japan. Maybe a coincidence of sorts. It is fair to say that the Japanese became very proficient at Figure Skating, given that both of Japan's Olympic Gold medallists hail from Sendai It still makes most sense that Yuzu would have attended school in Japan rather than UK. Looking at the learning styles of the four houses, which house would Yuzu have been selected for?

Entertaining chat. They say very complimentary things about Japan - food, shinkansen, onsen etc, the show and skaters and of course really lovely things about Yuzu. A good listen, as they are skaters with good knowledge of the discipline. They are fanyus for sure.

YuzuSakura watch Same OP is doing a grand job, visiting the tree, giving tree regards from everyone, posting updates daily Seems the wind has blown some of the earliest petals away. Sakura season is short, perhaps that is part of the beauty of it, a tantalising glimpse of spring time, then gone as the season waxes to welcome the summer. The brief blossoming of the sakura reminds us to enjoy the precious moments of life, because the arrow of time moves relentlessly forward and it is never possible to stay bound to the past

Yuzu was very emotional by the end, dear tofu heart Yuzu

Wonderful, generous Yuzu. At today's exchange rate, 150M yen is approximately 1.14 M USD 915, 000 GBP 1.04 M Euros Considering that figure skaters do not earn the obscene amounts of cash that professional football, basketball, baseball, tennis, cricket and rugby players earn, this is a vast amount of money and especially as a proportion of income. Yuzu is incredibly considerate. Some premiership footballers are earning several millions of pounds per year, same for some of the US basketball/ baseball players, Indian Premier League cricketers and top 10 ATP Tennis players.

One of the many highlights of Gift was seeing Yuzu's blade marks on the ice, the fleeting memory of a movement. The ice marks tell their own beautiful story and like all the best stories, they are both the same and different in the telling each time. Seeing the News Every footage of Yuzu with Kohei and them planning their performance, Yuzu drew some of his proposed programme. The pen strokes would be destined to become ice marks. These connections are a tantalising glimpse into Yuzu's mind and creative processes, a privilege to see that on screen.

Yuzuru Hanyu's ice show 'Notte Stellata'
Perelandra replied to Yuzu_legend's topic in 2023 Ice Shows
David looks really proud of Yuzu, justifiably so. Looks like a warm and affectionate hug. Glad Yuzu was with friends ( I know we keep saying this but the snippets that are appearing from Aoi Honoo 3 really emphasise how important actions of compassion and kindness are and how important those behaviours are )- 487 replies
