Like everyone else I cannot wait to hear about Gift on Disney plus with special features. I am especially intrigued to find out how Yuzu came up with the concepts for the monologues and stories. Yuzu must have had in depth discussions with the other production artists to create the animation sequences, the filming work, background art for all of the programmes, costume designers and also the composers and working with Mikiko again. The background music for some of the stories was very atmospheric and added a lot to the flow of the story. Gift was essentially Yuzu's directorial debut in the film industry and it was an incredible first work.

From what Madi and Evan mentioned in their podcast, they were impressed not only by the number of fans carrying and waving Poohs, but that Pooh was wearing outfits based on Yuzu's costumes. Many people post fanart of Pooh, Moomin troll and other toys wearing lovingly handcrafted Yuzu outfits, just gorgeous as well as the edible costume themed art

Same issue as you re: postage cost. Was stated on website that book could not be combined with other items to ship to my country of residence

That is really superb two champions together. I watched this young guy at BJ Olys. He performed amazingly and also behaved with the good grace of a true champion when the judges admitted later that they had made a mistake in the scoring which cost Su Yi Ming the Slopestyle gold. Glad that he won Gold in the Big Air

That was very funny, Yuzu having got down on one knee to applaud Jason then realising that he would be left behind and trying to sprint to catch up with Jason

Hopefully, the tears were relief after Prologue and a release of emotion and stress. It must have been a very daunting thing as well as huge effort to create, produce and perform a solo show, not knowing how such a groundbreaking show would be received, if people would still wish to support him in his professional career.

T/N - Of Historical interest: Ice skating was introduced to the Japanese by European visitors. The place where ice skating was introduced was at Gokishinuma pond in Sendai, now said to be the birthplace of Ice Skating in Japan. Maybe a coincidence of sorts. It is fair to say that the Japanese became very proficient at Figure Skating, given that both of Japan's Olympic Gold medallists hail from Sendai It still makes most sense that Yuzu would have attended school in Japan rather than UK. Looking at the learning styles of the four houses, which house would Yuzu have been selected for?

Entertaining chat. They say very complimentary things about Japan - food, shinkansen, onsen etc, the show and skaters and of course really lovely things about Yuzu. A good listen, as they are skaters with good knowledge of the discipline. They are fanyus for sure.
