Aww if you actually saw me skate you would not even remotely think "cool" hahah It takes time. Last season all I did was learn skating backwards and crossovers... Did you move to the apartment with the rink??

They're shaped differently and from what I can see on photos they're made from a harder material and are less bendable so I suspect they cause less friction and spin faster. The ballet spinner was more accessible to me so I bought one. But if you can you might do better by buying a skate spinner... Just saying that the ballet ones also do the job When I first stepped on the ice with my first "real" pair of skates it felt like I was entering a whole new world My first ("fake" lol) skates had really obtrusive toe picks and I fell on my face the first time I tried them out but I eventually got used to them and had no problems at all getting used to my new blades. You just have to make sure to bend your knees and ankles which gets easier once you break in your skates so give it a little time!

OMG yayyy what skates did you get? Did you skate with them yet? LOL feel like I'm continuing my own monologue but... the spin board helped! I've been practicing on it every evening and I can do one foot spins on the ice now. Yesterday I hit a secure and well-centered one-foot spin once in 3 attempts or so and some of them felt really good. And my two foot spins have consistently gotten well-centered and fast.

(I am craving the 11/12 season personally!!) @cirelle suggested WR programs which I think could very well be incorporated in to a fave programs streaming party.

It seems like the artificial Yuzu off-season will continue for some more time... who‘s in for more planet streaming parties? I‘m craving a good season streaming party for sure

We are of course more than welcoming to reports as these release some of our workload so to make reports more efficient we want to iterate some of our modding guidelines. The following are specific to the General Yuzuru Thread: A post is off-topic on the General Yuzuru Thread if it contains mentions of skaters that are not Yuzuru in addition to not being even tangentially related to Yuzuru. So for example comparisons to Yuzuru or talk about the friendship between Yuzuru and another skater are completely fine on this thread. The mention of another skater alone does not make a post off-topic. Furthermore we take action only if an off-topic discussion stretches for more than 3-4 posts. That's when we may post a reminder referring to the appropriate threads where the discussion can be continued. Only in very severe cases do we discuss moving posts to the appropriate threads retroactively. I hope this helps you guys in both making accurate reports and also in keeping the General Yuzuru Thread organized. Thank you!!

I am not very creative but I‘d be glad to join anyway! I would just suggest to maybe ask everyone who signs up if they want to send a physical gift and/or are comfortable with disclosing their address so you can match everyone up accordingly. (But that would ofc complicate the draw a little bit.) I also wonder if there needs to be more time for the physical gifts to be delivered on time but I guess a late delivery won’t be that much of a problem?
