And why not it's important! If I don't have this 'don't forget to try...' I DO actually forget to eat and then I'm all surprised when after a day I cannot lift a finger, lol. And in that aspect Javi is the forward blessing too, I like to think. With both of them knowing they had to learn English they probably were more comfortable trying out the language with each other, and even if they did focus on skating-related stuff, they still did improve each other's English, so Yuzuru is not this odd Japanese with the worst English anymore (probably). So it will be much easier to break any barrier which might have been there at the beginning, broken through by both Yuzu friendly charm on ice and Javi's easy-goingness. Plus, it seems like Yuzuru hads pretty good on-ice relationship with JunHwan (replacement kohai for the times Shoma isn't around?), and so it is possible that he still have the on-ice friends in Cricket, the way he was with Javi, and it seems the only way he really needed it. And lest we forget, they also live in 21st century like us, even if sometimes it's hard to believe. So I guess they always can talk through mails or line or whatever, though obviously it won't be the same.

If it really is borderline I hope the doctor thoroughly explained that it doesn't mean it is actually healable by Worlds, but that there is a chance to heal it by Worlds if this certain conditions are met by his treatment and his body. AND that if his body isn't really ready for it, well, with him forcing it into make or break one month preparation pre-Olys and it withstanding that, it is really a place to be grateful to it for what it had managed and not what it didn't. Okay, are my ramblings even comprehensible? Also, who elsw is shook at us reaching 3k pages in not even a year of forum existence (and who else wonder what should we do for the anniversary?)

You mean Yuzu-coach channelling Brian-coach in a more...nonverbal way?
-
I think @¯\_(ツ)_/¯ posted it in he translation and media subthread. The screen is with their translation, too. All the better! Killing two birds with one stone!

Welcome to the Planet and have fun! I leave scaring you to other users As @Murieleirum has said, TCC is an amazing place with 'no entry for outsiders' approach, which is to help skaters with pressure managing (In Brian's (paraphrased) words: we want a space where they can have a bad day and it will not be on every channel the next day.) With kind of following Yuzu has it's really a blessing, but again, if you want to become a sports photographer to get to the media day, we will definitely support you! From competitions there is definitely Autumn Classic in September and Skate Canada somewhere in October-November, I'm not knowledgable about North American ice shows though, so I hope people more friendly with skating calendar can help with that. Also, a bit off Planet, but check out the http://soyouwanttowatchfs.tumblr.com/ because they sometimes post schedules of different events and ways to watch if you cannot go to them^^ July is from 19 till 30, and the place is (I don't guarantee the correctness of the reading so it will be good for checking with Japanese speaking Satellites too) JR Nagoya Takashimaya 10th floor special assembly hall? I did check their homepage and it does seem to have an art gallery on the tenth floor, but I'm not fluent enough to provide more information, sorry orz.

Yuzuru Hanyu Exhibition dates! Organized by takashimaya in different organization's buildings from April to July in cooperation (?) with ANA...something like that. Anyway, exhibition!

So many things...and some ugly ones so the spoiler is in there for a reason: All in all, conclusion is only one: open up your folders, and let the Yuzu flood carry us on through the drought awaiting for us after all the post-Olympic activities end and Overlord turn back into Cricket Hermit

Oh my god...I'm such a bad tenimyu fan I didn't even register this accident happened... (also @Universe: STOP making the 1st cast suffer! ) But...Buchou is strong and gets inspiration from a strong person as well! Great, now I have to add 1st cast back to my list of 'will threaten universe to protect them' along with Yuzu...

Okay, I know it's too long but is it too much dreaming of if after Seimei he skated to 'Okashi' which basically have 'iza, Shura to narimase' in it's lyrics?
-
Now we only need the reverse version of that to corner naysayers from each side... How about a bit of a healing factor? With each sentence you write, each page you go through while learning, each checkpoint of your work reached, Overlord's ankle is healing one string of muscles, reattach and strenghten one ligament connection and becomes one step closer to becoming tytanum ankle? a bit of a stretch but hey! The time passes as you work and what his injury needs is a time! I'm just adding hard work as a well wishes factor, Yuzuru has said they at one point transcended to physicality, so why your work can't?!
-
Also fishing for the Yuzuru MADs, being salty about underscored WRs in previous season and educating new fans (as in, flooding them with the to-watch content they haven't checked out yet) with help of Planetary Google for Yuzu content, aka Kaeryth. Oh and screaming streaming Parties! Yep, it's definitely Party!Yuzu.
-
I wish I only hope he will be scheduled to appear in Miyagi's local media soon, because that would mean he at least gets to sleep in his family house sometimes
-
Wouldn't that go into Yuzuru vid's thread? Here: (I also had some problems finding it, lol. this planet has grown so much, and it's not even a year old!)

How the HELL Brian is able to save his sanity having a skater who gets to his top form in FIVE WEEKS, is beyond me. Though now I should kind of say that it's three weeks, shouldn't I. And then he has a 13yo, jumping all the quads, and future Korean superstar, and had a Spanish FS legend...gods, how ALL of TCC staff manages.

I can join you in lurking! I'm thin but tall enough, plus my fingers look like claws most of the time, so we would make for a terryfying lurkers! I'm sorry but, about this pop quiz comparision-WHAT?! It's the first time I read comparision like that, can you elaborate please? On the too much laugh-failed pop quiz (otherwise I will feel bad about not laughing enough...) I'm actually quite sure (or hopeful?) the fake data won't bother him-he has TCC at his side and they used recordings, video analysis and all the stuff people only recently incorporate ever since at least 14/15, so I sincerly hope that if Yuzu has seen those data, he went to Briand, and got a good laugh with him over those numbers. As always politely, without belittling Shoma. The injury...I REALLY hope he shut off any of the speculations, because it had to be ridiculously hard even without them, and his brain (and Kikuchi-san, hopefully) worked double shifts to logically explain that these experts have even less idea of what's wrong than his team. Don't you know? "Japanese are emotionless"! "All of them are hikikomori!" "They cannot express because their culture forbid them!" All that shtick, which skaters are fighting starting from the beginning of skating... Same for Chinese, Koreans, even sometimes Kazakchs and other Asian people.

Please no... Okay, maybe the calligraphy brush, he'd probably make that work xD Spoiler, because it's from across almost ten pages:

Sorry for jumping the wagon without checking last five pages, but...he's just plain amazing... There's currently a lot happening in Japanese idol industry as two of them got together and kind of published their relationship on social media (for onr of them it's the second time- I think it even got featured in the media, dince he was part of the cast of a very popular stageplay). A lot of so-called "fans" dragged them for it, saying that they spend money on them and how could they! And overally behaving like cheated spouses to both of them.(Ooh terrible who forced you to support them? Oh it was nobody but your ego? Hmmm). The problem with idol industry is that they sell dreams, so while there are mature fans just sincerly wanting to support talented person they admire or enjoy work of, there is also this group of loud, excuse my wording now, attention w**res who think they are the only ones sugar-mommying/daddying the idol and so are the only ones destined to be with them. Yuzuru throws shade at those people with a veeery wide smile and cute laugh, but he is a bit right that his fandom also has this type of people in it (I haven't met anybody personally, even less here, but for example seeing some of the comments under Misha Ge's instagram post featuring Olys just made me cringe. "Tell Yuzu we're his fans from XYZ and that he needs to make social media account!" On a post with Misha's Sp preparations? Blegh). Still, judging just from this Planet population I'm quite sure there would be more "OMG! CONGRATS!!!" and "WHERE AND WHEN IS THE WEDDING I WANT TO SEND POOH" had he suddenly announced getting together with sb rather than "You betrayed me! How could you!" Since I feel we actually care for his Happines and not our chances to possibly hook up with him...I hope?
-
He's recalling how Yuzuru couldn't jump 2A since his body remembered only the way of 3A, So Briand told him to try 3A instead and Yuzuru nailed it on the first try with an 'Oh my God" and a laugh just afterwards.

Joining in the love for the new theme before I go to sleep for a few hours before gala... Lovely job!

You guys should crosspost it to the superstitions thread, it's definitely interesting...

Not really? If that was the truth Tenimyu wouldn't be doing so well, and rn it's on it's third (!!) Season. A lot of the idols and actors still get the messages about their performances there too, and I will never be able to see Reo (Honda) as other character for a few first minutes of his new projects as he just screams Kikumaru Eiji. Now I may start a storm with that comment, but it's possible that a lot of fans of idols appreciate Yuzuru exactly for the same reason you appreciate athlete-hard-working ethics, drive to better yourself, appreciation of the support given by fans. Of course, not all idols drive themselves to rewrite what's humanly possible, but as a follower of just few 2.5d stage projects and just a few idols, I can see the parallels people try to draw between the Yuzu and idols. If you have a perfectionist idol, he WILL learn how to dance and run in high-heels if his character require that, even if he has to do so while performing fight choreography on a steep stairs. A lot of idols learn to do their own stunts to make sure performance is more realistical. Some study period of history in which their next historical drama is taking place in. There are idols starting acting at the same age as the athletes start doing their sport. In a way, a good idol is much more than just a pretty face, and shipping possibilities. Although we all know there are also bad idols. Now, that might be the reason of big group of idol's fan demographic following also Yuzu. Or, just as @Xen I think mentioned previously, he was this type of person loved by everybody... Also, a sensitive topic, but a lot of athletes aree afraid of being perceived as 'gay' as it is 'weak', but Yuzuru has two of his skating's most important people being gay and the last thing you would use to describe them would be weak(plus, he's regularly seeing other gay competitors doing amazing stuff), so for him 'you'll look gay' just cannot be taken as an insult, thus making him way more comfortable in his skin, making it easier to just ignore the male normativity as he doesn't need that to feel confident. His хорошо has better pronounciation than mine... I squeal. From what I see it's the interview of Korean skating fans in regards to Yuzuru and his win? From what I catch from Japanese subs most of them are amazed/pleased with the result (some mention how it feels good to have fellow Asian man sweep gold twice?) I hope others will translate it properly soon...

Just not with the bald cap please!

is un-catchable. I swear guys, we're going from elated, to death-worried, to psychological analysis, to economist's analysis (I'm not an economist, I'm kind-of humanist with knack for languages, but I don't think a word of what has been said about TCC tactics have been wrong. I think all the best tacticians in the history would be so proud of it being applied so successfully, too, and I also think it should be included in the clases, somehow) to hopeful, to agreeing, to hopeful, to fighting, to elated, to despairing...all in a span of like, two pages, and the cycle repeats itself and squish has no time to fix itself properly, when it's squished again... it's crazy how it is caused by exactly one person... I wonder if we expected the flood to be this crazy these three months ago. Re: injury. Warning: Wild capitals might appear. There have been so many topics mentioned previously, I will need a whole day to catch up and make a notes what I want to add, and I'm not going to be able to that in the next few days...I fully expect having to go through another few hundred pages by the time I will be back to being able to write longassy posts like this without threatening my mobile This Planet is life.
-
Or he is just Extra. Lower the expectations, only to take proper care of himself and turn up at his next competition at 100% whatever and whenever it will be, and blow everybody's mind.

Troll smile every day! Comeback of twin sister eh. Still it's cute thaat the casual viewer decided to speak up^^ Since I didn't have time to look through all the threads today, how long it took us going through the elated at SP-Worried for draw-LMAO Yuzu and 22-but what if...-full panic mode-gotta support him no matter what! cycle?
