That Russian guy seems to me like he is applying a method to make Russian skaters better in average. For example, Polina's jumps are huge but not as huge as he made it to be.

I am not sure that Russian analysis of jump heights is correct. I think a poster on GS did that the same for ladies and men years ago after Sochi. Then when this analysis came out, he did his own analysis and compared it to the Russian analysis and he said he found some very misleading numbers. It seems that the Russian analysis has made some serious mistakes in calculations, resulted in some very big margins.

I never liked Yuzuru because of his looks. My type is more like Tom Hiddleston, Richard Armitage and all.... Yuzuru is just a kid to me. Yuzuru is like a baby brother to me if I had one. I love Yuzuru because of his skating and his personality. Having said that, many times I wanted to strangle him for being so stubborn nd overthinking so you guys are lucky I am not near the kid.

This is misleading. People's love for some certain thing cannot be explained. I love what I love no one can force me to love something I do not like. JSF or any other entity CAN NOT force the fans to love skaters they do not care. Just like ISU CAN NOT force Yuna's fans to pay for competitions she does not attend. Because of Yuna, they spent time and money for her, it's their feelings and their time/money, who can force anyone to invest all those things for something they do not like? If not for Yuzuru, many people here would have never invested all their emotions, time and money for skating in general, that is the truth. Many of my friends would never spend thousands of USD to fly around the world to see skaters who are not Yuzuru. I love someone there is no need to explain and justify my love, and no one can force me to love things they hope I will love. JSF has done enough to promote all the skaters they can, the fact is that if they want to slow down Yuzuru's fans just to make people have a feeling that all skaters are loved... is WRONG and naive. Some people are just loved more and there is this fact it can not be changed. Anyway, Yuzuru is fine with all of this so I am fine. As long as he is practicing already and staying healthy, all the storm in Japan can just go to hell.

I am sure after the fiasco in which Japanese tabloid and media spread the false rumors about his "fiancee", his view about marriage already changes a bit, at least about time.

Now if we have some kind of neutral flag which skaters can choose to represent regardless of their nationality, it would be nice for Yuzuru and MANY other skaters.

That's why I said. Marin and the other young girls going up in the ranking means the same to JSF just like Yuzuru being on top. In JSF eyes, they need domestic stars. Yuzuru is famous with international fans does not mean a thing to them. So it's all the same.

I think Yuzuru will tour Europe. I think money is not the case if he wants to. And he did say he would want to travel a lot and skate in many tours. He does not like staying in one place. I remember that interview vividly. We will see him around the world. I do believe so.

I might sound negative, but after years of following Japanese culture, I have to say foreign attribution is not that much considered. Does it matter to JSF if Yuzuru is famous in many Asia countries and the general skating world? I doubt. Even Western media still see Asian fans are Japanese, thus our contribution is counted as Japanese's fans contribution. Which is weird of course. Do you think JSF care for the international fans that are following Yuzuru? I doubt they care. Of course, we contribute something to the magazine sales and CMs with Yuzuru appear, as well as competitions that Yuzuru competes in. But as far as I can see, they live off the domestic field. Look at Japanese music industry or dramas etc... do you see they make it big outside of Japan? Unlike Korean showbiz, Japanese showbiz, music and all are quite close up.

I doubt that JSF is going to miss Yuzuru. They have Marin Honda and many talented young girls who will do the jobs. Which is fine anyway.

Russian fed has a huge slump of men after Plushenko. JSF will be the same after Yuzuru. Their men will be down for a long time as long as Yuzuru retires. They can not pull it up. There is up and there is down for everything. They should be happy they have many talented young ladies right now who can carry the touch. Girls always attach more attention anyway. Had Yuzuru been a girl, he would have like double the attention and love he is getting now.

Flutzer always try to switch to the outside edge then the last mili second before leaving the ice they switch back to the inside edge so it’s easy to see. Or maybe it’s just me.

It's actually Misha who lept his body up onto the air later than Yuzuru. In fact Yuzuru's 4T has more air time than of course a triple. the biggest difference is Misha has a pause into his triple while Yuzuru snaps right away, immediately into his quad. Yuzuru indeed is the king of agility.
