I love how his favourite word is “challenge”! Usually challenges are things that scare people and things that people back down from, but for him it’s his favourite! I wonder why light blue though? Is that his favourite colour? Come to think of it I don’t actually know what his favourite colour is, is it gold??

I love how all Yuzu-related posts are posted at 12:07 haha Anyway, on a different topic I’ve been following the Cup of Russia and noticing that the media have been so vocal about scoring biases among the Russian ladies throughout. Don’t get me wrong, I do think unfair scores should be pointed out so as to make figure skating, a sport with a long history of biased judging, a fairer sport. But it makes me sad because when it comes to Yuzu, no one says anything... :’(

He would need more quads to compete with Yuzu but I do agree! I think he would make a worthy rival for Yuzu. Among the current male skaters I think only Yuzu and Mikhail are “complete” skaters with good jump and spin technique, skating skills, artistry and elegance.

I agree with you - I think Aliona can have a long career too, but she wants to retire early by her own choice so... Sasha did say before she wants to go to 2 olympics and retire at 22, right? still pretty young, but it would be 7 years on the senior circuit for her. This might be an unpopular opinion but Sasha's personality reminds me of Yuzu's - both can look all sweets and cuddles on the outside but are very strong and steely on the inside. Both are perhaps the most technically ambitious in their respective fields: Sasha wanting to land many quads and the 3A, Yuzu determined to land the 4A. I think if not for the language barrier, they can be pretty good friends.

Perhaps, since she’s only on her second senior season, but I’m pretty interested! Wonder if they will publish an English translation.

Jeff said he never imagined that Yuzu would be such a rockstar in PW! And I agree with him, young Yuzu had a “recklessness to his skating” - most evident in R&J1.0. Now he has grown, and has become more refined and elegant I like both young Yuzu and mature Yuzu though!!

Although, I wonder when we will see him?? I heard Japanese nationals was going to go ahead with audience right? Not sure if he will still participate if that’s the case...
