I think the Twitter photos I've seen (and a few short videos) make that stadium look a lot bigger than I expected it to be. We were thinking "small venue" but it didn't look small to me. And I wonder (without having a chance to test this out) if outdoor venues don't hurt ears with the high decibel screaming as an enclosed venue. I hate screaming. Can't wait for the pictures from our representatives at last night's show. And I wonder if Jimin and Yoongi will see each other while they are both in NY. Still no word on the Met Gala? Interesting article about Jin (I miss Jin): https://www.allkpop.com/article/2023/04/a-korean-career-center-professor-gives-an-interesting-analysis-of-btss-jin-personality

I am so jealous - but have some more Jimin pics from Tiffany's and also a Jimmy Fallon bit. And Yoongi's post concert post This one is half backwards but works. And - Yoongi's official post following the concert -

I'm in a hurry to get the dog out and haven't had a chance to look through here yet this morning but wanted to post these two - the soundcheck siinging along and the setlist -
-
And I have TXT tickets for May 28 in LA. MOA is just young and new and not well organized. There are so many ways to get BTS info, and ticket sell/buy/trade. Not so MOA.
-
I'd so go to this - but won't be in Korea until the 14th, maybe the 15th. I'd leave earlier and go, but there's only so much time I'm willing to be away from the dogs. Tempting, however.

Thanks for the Interpark info. It worked, and with little time to spare. I went for the Sunday, sitting VIP - mostly because I don't want to stand and also I think that Sunday will be the day I get back to Seoul from Jeju (different trip). Yoongi is bound to do a BTS song or two. He wrote so many of them. Dimple, maybe. Blood Sweat and Tears? I love Anpanman. One of the Cyphers - rap BTS.

You are correct. I was wrong - ,must have looked at the wrong year. And yes to Hobi - we didn't get anything but official photos from Jin's unit. Kind of makes me sad and angry. Speaking of angry - does one have to be a Korean resident to apply for a ticket raffle for the Seoul concerts? [Only Foreigners Residing in Korea can apply for this ticket] but @amylance1215 was able to register for Busan.... I will probably be in Korea that weekend - and likely returning to Seoul on the 25th. I want to enter the raffle!!! (Why does Interpark dislike foreigners?) On a lighter side:

He looks like he's doing well - but (and I guess it should be no surprise) the soldiers eating out of those metal trays makes me think they're in prison. No cute bento boxes for them. And that rice needs some sauce or something.

The Tiffany opening is the 28th. I don't see him doing a Tony Montana - it's just a couple of days into the tour and Yoongi and his team will still be working on perfecting everything, but he'll show up. He showed up for Hobi, but that was really more a life saving mission. Met Gala is the 3rd and Yoongi will be in Illinois by then. I wonder, really , how long Jimin is going to stick around in NYC when there's five days between the Tiffany's thing and the Met Gala. Yoongi will not be at the Met Gala - is Jimin going to go alone? RM going? (keeping my eye out for that)

I had to put my VPN back to the states to be able to watch Amygdala MV - (I'd need a Korean phone # to watch here). I thought the car hit him and not him running into the car in reality, but that would be hard to show. Clearly he went through some very dark times. But I think we knew that. And a gut-punching as the MV is, in a way, it's very hopeful because he did get through it. He did make the right choice. And watching him discuss it with Namjoon on R-schwita is so heartening. JK - his Prince Valiant haircut can't last long. Did he really think, I ask again, that he would somehow not be recognized because he cut his bangs?
-
Yoongi missed Sope. How cool that they shot that before even the first haircut. The choreo has been in place two months.
-
Yoongi dancing so insanely well in practice forces me to remind us what Yoongi thought when he signed with BigHit. So I resurrect the first (pre-RunBTS series) series (I think it's the first) called BTS Rookie King. Episode 4, around the 19 minute mark, when Yoongi yells at BangPD because he'd been told, when he signed, there would be no dancing and no choreography.
-
And to think there was a time we thought Yoongi wasn't really into the dancing part of being an "idol" (of course his shoulder hurt lots for that first 8 years). 2 new shares - so weird to be in the other side of the world and already well into Monday. And beat to it on posting this first one - sorry
-
I love Yoongi more for this sentiment -

Back to sweet Hobi - they must quarantine all the newbies. He wasn't sick. I bet they just keep the new guys separate from the rest of the base. There is no reason to single one guy out.

I have to say that, in spite of how amazing the MV for Haegeum is, I really hate cigarette smoking. Hate it. I get the "gangster" guy "we all smoke" image he's throwing out there but I really wish he'd put something on Weverse about that this was "acting" and that he doesn't smoke (God, I hope he doesn't) and that he understands that cigarettes are unhealthy and stupid. He (and all of them) are role models for SO many people. How many people will start smoking because if him and this? OK - end of anti-smoking rant. What? I saw the message -I'll try to track one down -

Countdown to Yoongi -

I don't know if this is true or not but it seems to me that if they have him for five weeks of training, isolating him for a week and then still expect five additional weeks just seems mean. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2023/04/bts-j-hope-to-quarantine-1-week-in-military-due-to-covid-19

And now that I'm back in computer land (on Jeju - and watched a pod of dolphins for about a half an hour), I have to add that I can't think of an uglier media act than doing a livestream of a young man returning to his home country because one of his mates has died. The throngs of media making every arrival of a BTS member a circus is bad enough - this is downright cruel.

After much twitter communication and time passing because I travelled today, they eventually had a relatively simple though annoying solution - logout of all accounts (which would be only the one on my phone as it was the computer page that wasn't working), close out any active pages, shut down the computer, come back on and go to an igconito page and go to ticketmaster.com and sign in. This, by the way, was vastly simpler then their initial suggestions that I didn't even try because I was traveling. So - thank you @amylance1215
-
Thanks - I'm trying their twitter accounts too and will check your link out after I get to Jeju (leaving hotel to go to Gimpo shortly!) I sent them a message - we'll see when I hear som, ething

Okay - this is a request for all non-NoAmericans on here. I cannot access Ticketmaster (god how I hate them) while I am in Korea. I have potential buyers for two of my TXT tickets and TM won't let me on, via my computer. I get this: Pardon the Interruption As you were browsing something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen: You're a power user moving through this website with super-human speed. You've disabled JavaScript in your web browser A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript is preventing JavaScript from running. I have jumped through hoops and have java script. I set my VPN to the US and still the same message. Now @rockstaryuzu is getting the same message - only on the computer. I seem to have access on my phone but afraid to do anything with that and lose access altogether. Can you guys try to get an email address for their customer support? Or any phone number, no matter what country it's in? @amylance1215 Maybe you have had to navigate this before or have an email that works from Asia. (????)

So sad - It;'s not like young people who reach some level of stardom early spin out when the brightness dulls. Happens to kids who are big in movies when they are little and then grow up. And K-pop is as notorious as any industry in using them up and spitting them out. I do wonder what the future is for a 25 year old who is not longer an active idol or feels pushed out because their time is over. Lee Hyun has mad it as a solo - but I think that's rare. It would be great and almost necessary for the big agencies to provide something like job or career counseling as their young people transition into other things. There are sports where people age out and while many of the top stars have big bucks, what do you do with the rest of your life when this is all you've known? I don;t think Yoongi's tour will be impacted - but this has to hit hard, especially in the same week they had to send Hobi off.
-
Joon's been crying - they all have. Hobi is being so brave for the other guys and he was so excited that Jin came. Why is it we saw two big black vehicles but they don't seen to have arrived together? Also, I'm crying, I;m, glad BigHit got this out there and can't wait for the subs. (And I think that Jimin didn't meet Tae today to workout because Jimin was probably home holed up and recovering.
