  1. Tae likes old things - that would be me! I love that there is mention or allusion to a Bon Voyage together when everyone is out. It's what we thought would be good, though without cameras, at least for the first part. And mentioning the aurora - Iceland! That would be someplace they could go and not be swamped with people following them around. Ot the northern parts of Scandenavia. Or one of the islands off the northern coast of Scotland. (I can't believe I'm already planning a trip for them - but I will write Hybe and suggest it.) And Tae being on this week is making me give Yoongi one more week before he enters the military, unless this is being used as both a Tae promotion and a salve for our sad hearts (when he is gone...) EDIT: but then next Tuesday is Namjoon's birthday - would be enter on that day? For those of us who purchased all of his concerts: I'll check it later, after I do stuff outside, before it gets too f-ing hot!
  2. And they know, from Jin and Hobi, what to anticipate. I don't know what shape Jin was in before he went in and Hobi was never one to spend lots of time in the gym, but both were strong and had stamina. I imagine most newbies aren't anywhere near the kind of shape the four are in now (Yoongi - not a gym rat, either, but certainly displayed stamina and stength throughout his tour -) I saw this tweet and wondered if I live on a different planet (huh? What album is this?)- Must be a bid to push certain songs to over 100M. I intend on putting the three on Proof that haven't hit 100K yet just so that album will have all it's songs over 100k (Born Singer, N.O., Cypher, Pt 3:Killer) onto my next playlist after Tae's album is out.
  3. I think there is no way the Korean media would have missed it, if he did. Of course, they might not know where he is (at his own place? at his parents?) and therefore couldn't follow him. My choice of the 5th is because it's a Tuesday and Tuesday is the day both Jin and Hobi entered their camps. So I'm guessing that training starts on Tuesdays. His announced on Aug 7, so that's a bit more than four weeks of time between announcing and showing up. I think that's the minimum amount of time between enlisting and showing - though I have no actual idea. Even though Hobi and Jin had more like 6 weeks, they did show up, like on Weverse. (Jin for his birthday and he just walked off camera without saying good bye...). It'll be roughly five month since Hobi went in and that seems like a long chunk of time between enlistments. Five months between, if a standard, would keep the last one out until Nov 2026. I'd think that the pace of enlistment will be increasing soon. They could all be in by February (?) and it would only four months before Jin is out, so not a super long "quiet" time. All just speculation, of course. Still kind of hoping Jimin and JK go in together and then maybe RM and Tae. While he talks about creating more music, a little piece of me wonders if Namjoon is staying around to semi-shephard the younger ones - though he clearly has no control over JK. Just so looking forward to seeing them all together again, I'd like them all in next month.
  4. Tae and Jimin - (and I remain steadfast in believing that Yoongi will go in on the 5th - lots of content prepared for immediately after that, to help distract us.)
  5. Just thinking, as I went to the MTV site (it's "double hour") and realized there is nothing to vote on today, it occurred to me that The Planet wasn't nominated in the "for good" category. I guess because there is no MV with it - even a video of them singing it - it wouldn't count as a MV - but I can't think of a song better suited for the "for good" award. The MTV site does say that the non-professional categories are all fan voted, but I don't believe it....
  6. Having livestreamed (and recorded on my phone; transferred to thumbdrive) three concerts and attended three, clearly I do not have enough Permission to Dance.
  7. Yeontan, if his heart surgeries were, in fact, successful should live another 7-9 years. He has a birthday this week! He turns 6 on the 7th. He actually has a page on "famous birthdays". I know Tae wants him to have his own profile on Weverse. I haven't been able to watch yet (it's 7:30 am....)but looking forward to it. I've had cats bigger than Tannie. But, true, dogs are not cats....
  8. I'm pretty sure that MTV is one of those that manipulates the totals so there will be no vote totals released; just the names of the winners, at the show. I could be wrong about that - and they do a "bracket" type thing on these last categories so we'll have an idea. I'm going to have to predict TS to win any category she's in (unless Beyonce surprises - but if it's a fan vote, Swifties are very pushy). That includes song of summer, but JK may surprise. He should get it, by all metrics. It's interesting that StrayKids are up against TXT for k-pop, but StrayKids not nominated in the group category. Thats the one, based on competition that TXT may actually win, though Blinks probably will be voting their little tails off. Blackpink beat BTS for k-pop, which is ridiculous - but they appeared at the show (and were awful, as I recall) - which is what I think will give TXT a bump (especially if it, in truth, is up to MTV..) THey can split the baby and give BP or Straykids one, and TXT the other. It would be so great for their confidence. I have not read anything about Jimin's knuckles, but maybe he was boxing with JK and wasn;t used to it or the gloves too tight. Even the usual translators I follow on Twitter made no mention of it. Waiting for subs-
  9. And on the 13th, Jin will be half way through!!!!
  10. Can't vote for "song of Summer until the 7th but, I am pulling so hard for TXT. Blackpink won last year and I am sure it was because they were performing. So TXT this year! Edit - blackpink won best k-pop. I don't think they'll take song of summer. JK would ahead of them and it's up in the air if he'll get it, though he should.
  11. OK - a couple of questions: a meat market? What do they mean by meat? And, who the hell is she? Had to have been after his tiny live because its not even 11:30 am on his actual birthday right now. He still has birthday stuff to do....
  12. I'd just like it if they performed with females who wear clothes that cover their asses and their boobs. (Thinking of Lollapalooza and that little Coi Leray, half her ass was visible -) Jimmy Fallon has recorded Like Crazy for ARMY. He's not very good which is a huge surprise because he actually can sing really well. It's almost like he's purposely not sounding good -
  13. So much JK; so much Jimin (who is slim, but I don't think he's thin - not think like Tae was for his Celine appearances). So, as a break, I add a tweet that is absurd but shows some insanity in the states - The bull's name is Howdy Doody.
  14. All the Namjoon controversy (and, I guess, Hobi for his JitB after-party) - If there is some random person of the Muslim faith taking anything he sings as insulting her religion, let me point out that all the members drink alcohol and that is strictly forbidden. And, even better, they eat pork. Lots and lots of pork - but I don't believe there are Jewish ARMY calling them out as insulting their religion because of what they eat. I'd say it's silly because it's ridiculous but I find it distressing that RM is even having to deal with this negativity. I, too, missed all the Lives - and I wrote a message to JK on Weverse to please stop using TikTok for lives. I can watch all the TikTok I want to without downloading the app. I am not going to download the app - though I know it's very popular with the younger people in the states - but the government has warned people to NOT download the actual app because it's a Chines data-collecting tool. Anyone in the service is forbidden from downloading it. And I don't know what kind of replay options there are - and we won't get subs. If he wants to be a TT star, he can. And likely will be. But PLEASE stick to Weverse for Lives.
  15. I love JK's cute haircut. Maybe he was feeling old since he turns 26 this week (gee SO old). I wondering what Running Man will be like with just Tae. I did see an episode with Jun but he skated through a lot of it and I don't remember if the whole show was him. He does have a packed promotion schedule and most of it will need to be pre-taped. Maybe he'll even have a Live that last, I don't know, maybe a half an hour or more on the day the album come out. With Tannie. And aren't we expecting there to be a Suchwita with him, as well? That may be sooner, rather than later. (What kind of Yoongi content will be released after he goes away?)
  16. Agree - pinned. It's really obvious when you see side by side photos (or one above the other). I had thought, for a while, that his hair was just covering them up, but the surgery is common and I can understand why any one, especially someone who wants to look "good", would have it done. Short recovery time, too - I wonder when he had this done. It could be a research challenge to go back through time and watch his ears carefully - again, the hair might hide anything. I would suspect that school age kids who are getting bullied for their ears would get this done. For pre-saving Layover -
  17. So if you buy one and suddenly need some cash, one would sell the commemorative coin to be melted down? I know that gold things, like actual necklaces or rings, have costs based on the price of gold. Even knowing the reason for the cost won't be moving me on purchasing one (if I happened to live Korea, which I don't). And because the coins are available only by presale, they won't be making more than they have already sold, which makes sense. Seriously, I'd pay for an overpriced enamel commemorative coin and even pay for global shipping, but, in addition to being unavailable for anyone not living in Korea, there must be, how many? 100k, easily, who would do the same. Weverse is missing out on an amazing marketing money maker. Should I let them know? And I sure hope the members are gifted one of these, each..... Tae - eat more now. You'll need the energy for promotions. [Edit: any guesses on when Yoongi will show up for basic training? I'm betting next Tuesday, the 5th. And this might be the last time all of them would be able to show up together to say good-bye and good luck....Okay, that makes me cry.]
  18. It does seem impossible for anyone who is not living in Korea ( and planning on being home every day for a full week to receive a package - next year) now and 7 months from now (or 3 months after you pre-order them in December.) As I am not planning on trying to get one anyway, there will likely be no way to see if Weverse Global only has the Korean banks and pay services available to pay for them. I know that there are ARMY out there who can actually afford one of these, but these prices are insane. Couldn't they offer a nice enameled one?
  19. Remembering the boy with ears I can't believe anyone could grow into. (Also, I think, while looking hot in the latest Celine shoots, he takes the modeling thing a bit far and is ultra thin, like he hasn't had anything but water for weeks.)
  20. Tae's three older songs out - and, for those of us who just aren't Cartier customers, here's another opportunity to spend insane amounts of money on BTS merch -
  21. It that was in won, it would be affordable. Insane.
  22. The hiding of mouth or face - our members do this a lot, or used to, whenever they laughed. They'll put their hand up to cover their mouth. Also - and this might just be a Korean thing, they turn away from the others when drinking an alcoholic drink.
  23. I was so confused when i first saw this, wondering what RM was going to release on the 12th and then realized that it's his birthday- That Dingo Story show sounds really fun. I wonder how they know that the person they are surprising is a fan. I'm not expecting it will ever happen to me, but, wow - wish it would. @amylance1215 strategy is the best - multiple people trying to get tickets. Chris is ARMY, too, but that didn't help me get any upfront Yoongi tickets or Busan or Seoul. I like to think of it as me saving all my BTS luck for the comeback.
  24. I think sales go up with each new album because ARMY misses OT7 so badly and want to support the members as much as possible. Seven isn't an album in any way but its sales are insane. Astronaut had a photo book and a MV and was produced like an album. Thinking about it, I wonder if JK has plans to release an actual album (with Seven on it, of course). I suppose he could release an "album" that is nothing but all the versions of Seven. If it has a photobook and a MV, it might be considered an album (though I wouldn't buy it - I just don't need 9 versions of this song.) @amylance1215 has some kind of amazing luck with the concerts she's won tickets for and for concerts she was able to get pre-release tickets. The luck and the willingness to go where the concerts are at - I think that's what we will have to be ready to do (years from now). And, though in the future, work as a coordinated block to secure tickets to every venue, if possible. Targeted ticket strategy. We have time to work on this.... (sadly). In addition to recording and learning choreo, I suspect the members would love to (and would benefit from) a Bon Voyage or In the Soop thing first - after they have has time with family, very soon after discharge, just to spend some time all together, relaxed, so they can share their experiences and their new goals/dreams, and do some serious reacquainting themselves with each other, regain that sense of being a unit.
  25. No need to get too anxious about this now, but there will be a bloodbath like none before. I really don't know how they could actually tour in 2025 unless everyone is out of the military by early in the year, or even late spring, but that translates to the last four members enlisting by November. Possible, but I wouldn't bet on it. While a lot of the prep for a massive tour can be done before they are all out (and by the company and whoever is already out) , they'll still need time for recording and for working on/learning choreography. Perfectionists - they won't want to perform until they know they are Bangtan-level ready. Five years ago, or even three, they probably could've prepared in a matter of months, but, with the exception of muscle memory on older songs, it's going to take time just to get flexibility and endurance back (though the time in the military will have probably kept their stamina at a pretty high level). Hobi being out in early October '24 (?) will probably give the choreo a headstart but there will be other choreographers and time takes time. But good to start a fund now - like Christmas fund but two years to put money into it. Jin fans are pushing a "relaunch" of the Astronaut. I am obilging by playing one of the suggested Spotify lists - I also pulled up my older YouTube Jin-heavy playlist. I still feel badly that Astronaut has never gotten the streams it deserves -especially looking at the rest of the vocal line.
