OF late I've developed the theory that part of the reason he doesn't appear so often in these photos is because he's the lad behind the camera...I mean it would make sense when you think about it. Oh that was so cute! His voice in that recording sounded really warm and relaxed and like there was a little bit of a laugh behind it. Really nice.

You also have to consider that he has at least 3 uniform suits already - from the 2 Olympics and his high school - and maybe he just wants to get some wear out of them. He doesn't seem like the type to waste a perfectly good suit jacket just because it doesn't quite fit. Also, not every man has enough sartorial education to understand the difference between "well-tailored" and "it fits ok I guess". We are talking about a guy who spends most of his waking life in Under Armour, after all.

I was thinking the same thing. I even seem to recall reading somewhere that Yuzu said he'd like to be able to bring Brian's/TCC's methods back to Japan. Realistically, both Yuzu and Javi will in the future have big roles to play for figure skating in their respective countries, and Canada already has lots of good/ great potential future coaches. But it does speak volumes about how Brian sees both Yuzu and Javi that he would like them to take up the mantle at TCC.

Yes, but quite a few Asians do that (stay out of the sun). It's not unique to him.

I took a second to think about how most rinks around here are used for hockey, and how hockey players are veritable fountains of spit and sweat, and....well...yeah. icky. The most likely reason for Yuzu's good skin is a combination of genetics and a very healthy lifestyle.

I haven't learned that kanji yet. 'Boku'? Or 'Ore' ? I could see him justifiably using either one, but isn't 'ore' usually considered a touch rude?

Yuzu always finds a way to win, by being so much better than everyone else that biased judging just doesn't make a difference for him, so please don't worry about that. The only thing there is to stress over, is his injuries...those will give you grey hairs...and we have no control over that anyway, so just pray for him to be healthy and stay injury-free from now on. Also, unless your name is Patrick Chan, being Canadian doesn't help with the judges as much you might think. And PChan's retired, so stress not.

So my general reaction to this, other than 'Yay! New Yuzu content!' is that it was only a matter of time before some skincare company or other snapped him up, and I'm frankly surprised that it took this long. I'd lay even odds that the next beauty endorsement he gets will be for lip balm....

Yeah I think it'll be the fourth OGM before he manages to find a decent tailor. I feel like fashion houses of the world are missing an opportunity here. Imagine the selling power of being the first to properly fit Mr. Hanyu.

So I went to that page, and I noticed Dan Carter of the All-Blacks has donated an autographed rugby ball for the same auction that Yuzu put his skates in. Nice to see it's not just Japanese celebs who are helping out.

Look like two strands (one of bulky yarn, one of fluffy roving) were held together and knitted in 1x1 rib on really big needles to make a really long scarf. The sweater is anyone's guess though.

I dunno, at this point some of them seem more like 24/7 fanyus who moonlight as skaters. I was watching the Universiade gala and yet another skater I'd never heard of was out there hydroblading away...
