It's finally happened, the Japanese Nationals for women finally migrated to the GPF weekend LOL. Also, can't believe Grassl made it into the final. This year's men's GP was an utter mess

The Weverse auto translate absolutely slaughtered this - it translated "stunned" as "bouncy" and I just 🤣

Sharing a little bit of MAMA. Beomgyu & Huening Kai of TXT, Jay of Enhypen, and two members of Zerobaseone performing as a five piece rock band and doing a pretty darn good job.

My guess is Jin looks younger because he's got a load off his mind now that he's done his service. Hobi also looks younger.

This is an idea you've expressed a lot, but so far evidence has been to the contrary. It looks as though the guys are handling the situation with great aplomb. Funny thing about Hobi endorsing Audemars Piguet: about 3 days before Hobindid the live with their watch on his wrist, my brother, who also loves watches, was jokingly asking me to get him a Piguet for his birthday. 'Jokingly', because a Piguet cost about half what I paid for my house back in 2010. 🤯 basically, fantasy day dream stuff.

Yes, I saw that later

I have yet to figure out whether that means the remixes add to the total stream count for charts, or not. I've seen streaming ARMY complaining on X that playlists that include remixes are all wrong but I've also seen the opposite. As for streaming generally: I really don't think people should feel pressured into it. Not everyone can stream non-stop. But playing through the album a few times on Spotify or Apple Music ought to be doable for most people. Either way, you're still ARMY.

If that's the one we were voting for the last several weeks, how come V and RM didn't get one? I thought they also finished in the top ten? Edited: oh wait, nevermind!

The length of time that the official announcement implied he'd be out makes me wonder if it's a serious health issue. And the bit about him insisting he wanted to keep working... if it is a mental gealth issue, it's one he hasn't clued in on, himself. The whole official announcement was giving "we're telling him to take this time for his own good" so it's making me wonder what's up. About the Happy sales numbers: I've seen a bunch of ARMY complaining on Twitter that their orders were held up or cancelled by the suppliers due to unavailabilty of stock so there's a lot of exhortation to go buy in your nearest store instead of waiting for a shipment. That would definitely affect numbers

Good riddance to bad rubbish re MHJ. HYBE might want to take a page out of her shamanism book and recruit one to clear out the 16th floor (where ADOR is) of her miserable energy. I woke up to Hobi's live, only to discover that I had fallen asleep fully-clothed last night, with the light on, etc... . 2seok filming the Running Wild challenge is so heart-warming. Plus, that's likely the first, last, and only time Jin will ever get to boss Hobi around about dancing, so I hope he made the most of it! Jin was on Lee Mujin's Service. I highky recommend watching, especially the whole conversation about fishing and Super Tuna in the middle. As it turns out, Jin is about 200 times more chaotic than even we suspected.

And no wonder.

They're 14 hours ahead of me during daylight savings, 13 otherwise. So a 5pm start is 3 am my time at this time of year. Also, 5pm less 16 hours = 1 am. 5pm back to noon = 5 hours. Noon less 11 hours = 1 am. 5hours plus 11 hours = 16 hours. Just put Seoul into your clock widget on your phone as a second time zone you follow, and you'll always know the right time there and here. As for Hobi in the military... even if he had a perfectly ordinary time in the military, it wouldn't have been easy. The assistant drill instructors have to be up before everyone else besides the cooks, and go to bed late. Plus it seems like he was a peer counselor, so he would have had to listen to everyone else's troubles, too. Must have been emotionally draining, if nothing else. I hope he's having an awesome time in LA.

Check out this song by One OK Rock, and tell me if you can imagine Yuzu skating to it. I think it would suit Yuzu really well: https://youtu.be/eoQAnGx4Pss?si=wu2MjBWsn_6IeUbD

Here's hoping for online livestreams for overseas fans! Beyond Live has been pretty good so far. Otherwise I'll be signing up for a month of ForJoy TV again to get access to TV Asahi

ISU's approach seems to be to chase away the golden goose in of favor of a silver or bronze one. It's like they think they only have room for one goose at a time

It's so obvious that the ISU has a problem on their hands. I could see it when I went to Worlds in Montreal - the arena was at best, half full, and probably a third of the audience were friends and family and teammates of the skaters themselves. Very insular, honestly. I invited some friends of mine who live in Montreal to join me for a day of the competition. These are people who used to figure skate, so they have an interest. When they checked the one-day ticket price, they balked and wouldn't come. And they had none of the other expenses an Worlds attendee from out of town would have. They didn't recognize any of the skaters competing, so it was easy for them to convince themselves not to go ( to be fair, these are people who probably would have turned their noses up at seeing Yuzu, too - they were looking for big Canadian stars to watch. Sorry, but Elvis quit competing 30 years ago 😅) . However, they did get interested in watching the practice sessions at the Verdun rink, which were only $10 for the day. The other thing I noticed is that there's a LOT of grey-haired golf clappers in the remaining audience that still attend... people who seem to think watching figure skating is like going to the ballet, who get p*ssed off if they're forced to witness anything so unseemly as an excited fan cheering for a favorite skater. Those folks would be better off watching the event on TV, at home in their jammies, tucked up with a cup of cocoa on the couch. 😒 So the problem has a few components: 1. Without star power like Yuzu had, it's difficult to attract fans outside the regular circles of figure skating 2. The regular circles of figure skating are a reliable audience, but small and getting older 3. Ticket price is a barrier to casual fans/passersby who might otherwise check it out. 4. The way ISU behaved towards Yuzu with regard to scoring, after 2018, has had the effect of driving away a huge pool of potential future audience. From a marketing perspective, they should have bent over backwards to keep him competing as long as possible.

I thought so too. It was particularly noticeable on Moon. He wasn't singing the highest parts. He's clearly rebuilding his singing muscles gradually, and witnessing the process is making me super curious about the vocal coaches they work with. They obviously have some real experts guiding them in that regard. It would be easy to get impatient and give in to the temptation to force the high notes - but that'd ruin his voice for good.

I read an English translation of the lyrics and if he'd have said that the song was about Bangtan and their approach to their career so far, I totally would have believed him.

That's what Jin said during his special stage. He gave a PowerPoint presentation on how he came to write all the songs on the album and said that Another Level came about as a result of him imagining what it would be like to be the main character in a video game. Frankly, I think it's the most Yuzu thing Jin could have said New live clip:
