Yes, I was okay because we had all the FaOI but when other skaters started showing their programs that's what I feel everytime I see my Twitter timeline

I was thinking of samurai sword when I wrote that, I really feel Yuzu is like that because of all the things you have mentioned. And all that training he did so he could be the best. Even Plushenko mentioned how hard he trains and I bet he doesn't even see Yuzu training in TCC, just how Yuzu practices all the time when they have ice shows. And yeah, I don't think I would have been interested in figure skating if not for Yuzu. I never enjoyed going to the skating rink - with friends or with cousins, too cold for me. But I was very moved when I watched Hope & Legacy Worlds (my 2nd Yuzu video) and ended up crying (and confused because I didn't understand my feelings).

Wow, no wonder some fans were very pressed. Ugh, no wonder Yuzu is such an amazing and magnanimous person, he's a sword practically tempered by fire. Success is the best revenge

I have been thinking about this for the past few weeks since I learned that thing called GOE 😡😒 There's the regular FS standards and then there's the Hanyu standards. Everybody else gets judged with the usual standards but Yuzu gets judged all the time by his BEST and then some. 😶 H&L scoring 😒😒 😒🙄 There are two comps I haven't watched conpletely. This and a CoC 😭😭 I just get too emotional. I can only imagine how the Fanyus felt when they were watching live. I wonder how I can survive my first FS season 😨😶😔

I wasn't referring to the new article but the examples Yoa pointed out and looked up some on Twitter and Tumblr. I worked in PR and with lawyers before, I know how easy it is to do selective quoting to put out your own version of a story.

Thank you for the explanation. It's okay for people to change their minds or not see Yuzu as GOAT but to provoke or sensationalize by nitpicking statements or mistranslating or slanting the angle of a story

What do you mean about "brand of journalism"? I'm sorry I'm a new fan so I only get my Hanyu news from here and Twitter.

What I'm saying is Javi is amazing for agreeing to have Yuzu in TCC even if they are competitors. That Yuzu is amazing for agreeing to have Boyang in TCC even if Boyang can become an eventual rival. I'm sure a lot of other skaters are amazing people, but I only follow Yuzu so I only know others through their interaction with Yuzuru. I hope Boyang gets a Pooh from Yuzuru 🌻😊

Yuzu's always making sure that people know it's Boyang who gave the impetus for the quad race and to him personally. I can't wait to see how they and other TCC skaters will evolve this coming season Yeah, I was crying buckets when Yuzu exclaimed that he wouldn't have been able to do it without Javi. They're so competitive especially Yuzuru but still they can be magnanimous and the sportsmanship is genuine. I agree with you that with them being on the top they set the tone for the younger skaters. In their interviews, no shading or backhanded compliments whatsoever about other skaters. I hope Boyang finally gets a Pooh from Yuzu!!!

As a fan, I'm just a few days older than Yuzu's second OGM. I could only watch the short program live and just totally went offline during his free skate. I was too nervous to watch Shoma or Javi's skates and relied on Twitter and Planet Hanyu to tell me that he won. But I was screaming when I saw the scores!!

I only became a Yuzuru Hanyu fan this Olympic season. A mutual in FB is a Shoma Uno fan and she's always posting Shoma and FS stuff. I'm a supportive mutual and would like her posts but never could get into them. Then she started posting other skaters leading up to the Olympics. I saw a Seimei gif and since I liked the movie, I checked the skater and then found out it was a record-breaking skate (GPF). Wow!! It was really amazing. So I checked another video- highest-scoring program Hope & Legacy. I watched it and then found myself just in tears and just crying in awe and filled with emotions that I cannot really explain. I didn't know figure skating was art. I am teary-eyed just remembering. After that I just looked for everything Yuzu, found GS and Planet Hanyu, and had been lurking here ever since. I became a fan just in time to watch the Olympic SP. What I do know is I really cannot watch other skaters (I tried, I really tried) but nobody else could interest me enough. Maybe because I'm not a figure skating fan and because Yuzuru spoiled me for anybody else. Yuzuru is more than a figure skating to me. What he does and how he does it, it's high art for me. And now I start learning more about him, he's a very amazing person that inspires me.
