  1. This lady sounds like a salty you know what....
  2. Apparently Brian is very enamoured of Evgenia... so yes they each have their faves even though they tell you they love them all equally
  3. yes especially since they have another intense one who was definitely not happy with her skate. It'll be a crazy intense month at the TCC Cave
  4. Link to the video of Zhenya's FS run through and overall ACI stuff here
  5. Thank god that snippet that she showed was this costume and not the actual dress from her SP or FP! Bullet dodged!
  6. One more week before programs at ACI!!! Very exciting!
  7. Oh man... is this the most highly anticipated season or what?! Can't wait to see programs and potentially the 4A
  8. For all the fans of Evgenia Medvedeva, there's a new International Fan Forum for her at https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/evgeniamedvedeva/index.php. Feel free to join your fellow Zhenya fans there to chat about the upcoming season, competitions, general figure skating and other topics of interest
  9. Wow the theme of Origins is pretty cool...
  10. Media day means programs soon!!!! Woo hoo can’t wait!!!
  11. This is why I am so very excited to see what Evgenia, Liza and Polina have n store for us. It will be a breath of fresh air after seeing the recycled choreo from camp Eteri. I will take a hard pass on POTO for busy people 😉
  12. Sounds like a plan - we'll agree to disagree
  13. Where do I say don't learn quads - I am questioning the need to have them all at such a young age. What is the rush? Why do Stephen and Sasha need to be training that many quads at that age? Why not train 1 and perfect it, let the body grow and mature and train others? See if the body will be able to sustain the quads. What's the point of having 3 quads or 4 quads at 13 or 14 and then none by 17? Are they rushing because they are over reliant on small size, low weight and rotational speed vs actual technique? As for the age thing, they are kids - they have no fear or sense of mortality. Therefore, it is up the coaches (you know the ADULTS in the situation) to control the pacing. Like I said, technical advancement is wonderful and should be encouraged but there is a right way to do this that both advances the sport and protects the kids. I am sorry but this particular coach has a history of "one and done" phenoms and hence my skepticism but I am also skeptical that Stephen will be able to keep all his quads as well.... That's my take on the matter.
  14. I just don't understand why we need Trusova and Gogolev doing multiple quads at 13 or 14 or whatever the heck their ages are. Should the goal not be getting to seniors and have a fruitful and long career in the sport. When you hear of former skaters (who were only doing triples) having hip surgeries at 17 or 20 - is this not a warning sign to the coaches? I don't know about others but I'm not into watching children do quads. That'll be a hard pass for me... It'd be nice if skaters (I'm talking specifically the ladies here because in the men's discipline it's a little better) actually stuck around vs. one and done seasons... Legacy in sport is to me just as important as short term wins when considering individual athletic greatness. Who am I going to remember and think OMG that was a great figure skater, is it going to Kostner or a junior who landed 3 quads (who hopefully will make it to seniors but who knows...). I'm all for athletic advancement but why so many quads when you know that even triples cause damage to the body especially in young bodies? Why would you not train one quad with QUALITY and work on others as the body develops and matures. This goes for both girls and boys.
  15. It showed up on my Instagram this morning, I think it's from that commercial she did in Japan so would have been from around time of The Ice Hopefully it is just lighting and angles. She does look thinner than before but it didn't seem this bad until I saw this... eek
  16. Am I the only one that is getting a tad concerned
  17. I don't get TAT sometimes... By the way, if you get a chance checkout the interesting interview with Raf that TSL posted a couple of days ago. He has some interesting things to say and he definitely has thoughts on the rule changes and the multiple quads being trained by the youngsters
  18. Seriously why is this a thing? I don’t the fascination... kudos to her if she wants to do it but to me it is not worth risking long term health
  19. We just have to wait to see but based on past history of that group, I'm not too optimistic
  20. OK what is the fascination with voiceovers from that camp?!
