It was a really sweet & sentimental surprise... I love your avatar! I was just thinking I would like to see a theme based around this costume with both new & old pics. The only part I don't like is/are the black applique vines (?) separating the stripes, because they have kind of an unfinished or scratchy look that doesn't quite go with the other trim. I don't think that was in the original design, either... But he is beautiful in it anyway, and really selling it now!

I can really see it! I'm still working through the thread but this seems like a much-desired choice... I am really illiterate about classical music, only knew this from Yuna Kim's skate which is so beautiful & restrained. Can imagine lots of drama & tension with Yuzuru playing a combination of sinister puppet master & dark romantic prince luring people to their deathly fates

I'm not a sports buff so I can't think of anyone who comes close in the US for that... In entertainment world I think Thriller-era Michael Jackson is a good comparison. Very close to Beatlemania but even closer to Yuzuru in that he was first known as a child prodigy before developing into a respected & successful performer his field... High expectations were placed on them but they both went beyond the beyond, breaking records and dazzling basically the whole world with star power, grace and excellence. I was crazy about MJ when I was a kid, I remember seeing & hearing him everywhere, crossing all demographics, seemed like it would never end and he was almost magical.

I still wonder what was going on when he first jumped onto the podium, kind of flailed his arms in Patrick's direction & then quickly composed himself. Looks like he was giving a "ta-da!" to the others but thought better of it... Don't know why I want an "official" explanation for this, it's just so funny & endearing to me. He had the best entrance for sure

Fully agree and just realized his hair is parted on the left instead of right, it looks so good! This, plus pic of him & Nao Kodaira together (emphasizing his right part versus her left part), sent me down a rabbit hole of relearning "Hair Part Theory" and trying to find any intentional left-side parts for Yuzuru! Didn't complete a comprehensive search but pretty sure there are none... My work is done for today

Thanks! The ridiculous part is really how obsessed I am with this particular idea... I usually love thinking about all sorts of "what-ifs" like this but here, my brain just clamped on and won't let go. I realized another way it fits well is being a duet, aligns with his celebrated "duality" (in quotes only because I don't believe in that for him; I understand why people say it but it's still too limiting somehow). I love your username BTW!

Total fantasy but "Under Pressure" (Queen & David Bowie) would be amazing. Not a fan of Chock/Bates version because the music was changed too much... I love all the ups & downs in the original, overflowing with passion & concern for humanity, so powerful that only Yuzuru could match it! Imagining a refined glam rock or New Romantic costume... I know this is fairly ridiculous but I can't stop thinking about it
