Oh no Hope your ankle gets better soon! A good rule of thumb is to avoid putting any stress or weight on it while it's still painful- then once you stop feeling pain, you can slowly start exercising it. Could you do some one foot skipping with a rope? Is that even a thing?

Yeah, he's held media day in September before (2016) so I feel like there's a good chance it'll happen again this year. He did have a delayed start to the off season so it makes sense

I love how the dp is Brian nervously swigging his coffee to preserve whatever is left of his sanity

I... I need eyeball bleach.

I've actually been curious about his reason for appearing in the movie for a while now! It seems a little out of character for him but I'm sure he has a super meaningful and deep reason for it. Or maybe he just thought it would be fun
-
I'd love to see him in dark blue hair or a dark ashy brown The pink looks cute too though! I wish figure skaters were more experimental with their hair styles and colours- the visual effect would be awesome

When figure skating crosses over into Jdrama, you know it's a big deal The same character goes on to quote a bunch of famous people - and at one point he even references the Japanese curling team with their 'sou da ne' catchphrase. There was another Yuzu reference in the drama version of Princess Jellyfish (highly recommend the manga to anyone who hasn't heard of it!) where a real estate developer bribes a landlord with premium tickets to the PC mens figure skating events so she can cheer on Yuzuru

On the topic of school bullying, I can't remember the source but I swear I read somewhere that Yuzu did get some rude behaviour from other students particularly after he had done well in a big competition (maybe JGP?). Something about how he got asked for autographs from fellow students, but one of the students who (out of jealousy?) threw his autograph in the bin after having asked for it. Am I making this all up or has anyone else heard/read something similar?

Interesting! I think we'll definitely get some kind of program reveal- maybe closer to ACI. Sounds like Yuzu keeps at least some part of his layout and jump repertoire under wraps during media day. The fact that he's pushing his program reveal back might be because he didn't have enough time to polish his programs, but I still feel like it has something to do with his jumps...And if there really is a 4A lurking, we likely won't know until he actually starts competing. I don't know if I could mentally process new songs, costumes and programs all in one go during competition- sounds super overwhelming

Maybe he's pushing media day back as far as possible so he can perfect whatever quad/s he's adding on top of 4S and 4T for this season? Does he usually do his harder quads (4Lz, 4Lo) on media day? Could it be that Nessie is behind all of this?

OT but I was not excepting to see Chiemi here I had a phase last year where I would just watch all of her TV appearances and versions of the Dirty Work skit. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it

@Sammie posted the media day dates from past years a few pages back. See below

Every time I see this I think of how long Yuzu must've spent watching the koi dance video on repeat and image training to get the choreo down
-
He's literally in a league of his own High key proud of BTS for being all the way up there too

Your cats probably sensed the nyan energy radiating from the CiONTU shirt and couldn't help themselves

Oh my God....this is heartbreaking news. I genuinely thought he was going to be okay. What a terrible way to go. I hope his family and friends get all the privacy and support they need in such an unimaginably difficult time.

Seems like his femoral artery was damaged... it's scarily easy to lose a lot of blood in a very short time if you hit such a major artery. 3L is a crazy amount to lose as well...most adults only have 5L. Hopefully he's in good hands and stabilises soon. What a terrible thing to happen.

Looking back at past years, it's usually in early August so I'm thinking it'll be in 3 weeks time! He most definitely has his full programmes by now but I would think he's still at the stage of making changes here and there.
-
Wait a second...is he one of the guys from that hilarious French interview at Worlds last year?
-
I'll have a go! The guy says that the kindergarten they all went to must specialise in 'suberu'. Suberu can mean skating, so the sentence would be 'the kindergarten they went to must specialise in ice skating' which is a reference to Yuzu. But in the context of comedy, suberu can also mean to make an unsuccessful joke (ie a joke that no one laughs at). So he's basically dissing their comedy skills by saying the kindergarten they went to must specialise in making bad jokes. Hope that makes sense!

Yuzu would make an amazing torch runner...imagine the crowds he would draw! Also super keen to see Yuzu flail his arms around as he runs across the countryside

Glut max covers most of medius (the exposed part of medius is more towards the side of the pelvis rather than the back) and medius covers the minimus. So the visible bulk is mainly formed by the max. Anatomy is fun

Maybe that little black corner in the bottom left corner is Jason

Seeing Yuzu in practice gear makes me freaking excited It still doesn't feel real that he's doing another competitive season, and that he has new programs (+new costumes!)

I'm in the process of planning my next trip to Japan and I was thinking it would be really nice to make a compilation of Yuzu-themed places to visit or activities! Suggestions can be anything e.g. good shops or bookstores to buy Yuzu merch, temples, where to find that massive sign with Yuzu in hakama If you have visited any spots, please leave reviews/advice for fellow satellites! As I collect more info, I'll come back to organise it all into a pretty guide for all of us to hopefully use! Thanks peeps!
