The original date was the 29th but an NBC article on Mirai the other day said the ISU were planning on releasing assignments on Thursday

So basically we're all waiting for ISU to get it together

It's pretty much the end of the working day in Switzerland, so sounds like if it's really coming out today, it will happen somewhere in the afternoon in Toronto

Apparently there's a rumour going around on GS/FSU that assignments have already been decided and ISU is just waiting to release them

Genuine question - have GP assignments always been this stressful? Finally got home but there's no way I'm sleeping tonight

The only thing is, out of the remaining GPs, the French and SC will want Yuzu more than Russia or the US because they don't have any big male skaters to protect. I don't know how strongly Russia feels about Kolyada but the US would definitely want to avoid Yuzu at all costs.

It could technically happen, right? If the Russian fed doesn't care about Kolyada enough

Yeah...this season is already turning into a hot mess with all the rule changes and now this. Korea had today to decide if they were going to take on the GP, so hopefully we'll find out tomorrow. I'm really sceptical that they'll be able to release assignments this week if no one wants the GP

Yeah, I miss programs like Hello I Love You and Vertigo not the trashbag pants or the awkward hip move in Vertigo though But he did rock with LGC so I think for this SP he's going to go with another new genre. Just a niggling feeling I have. And yeah, I think the FS is going to be dramatic. Or maybe it'll be quiet in the vein of H&L, but since Haru Yo Koi has a similar vibe I think it's less likely.
