Yuzus popularity on youtube is exploding internationally right now. Since the last two weeks Parisienne Walkways view count has gone up by a million

They were the king and queen for the last 2 years of competitive figure skating and they took like heaps of photos together and both like anime and stuff so the media wnts to ship them or something haha. I wonder if they even knw the others number. Probably not. I dnt wnt yuzu to go to russia for an EX.

I dnt think yuzu is dumb enough not to shut down his account or change the privacy of his account after 730 people subscribed to his account. There is no way people subscribe to an account with no original videos. He knws we suspect its him. Why hasnt he changed the privacy settings of his playlists???

I dnt think its him. He said in an interview during his high school days that he doesnt even knw AKB48 and is not interested in idols. That account is a major Kara fanboy and is named yuzuru hanyu in kanji. Hes not being secretive about his account which is unusual cuz yuzu doesnt do SNS.

His concert was a joke and I knw u r joking too hahahaha. I dnt think he will act either haha. Commentating, coaching, ISU events, choreographing, family and media work will keep him busy haha

I am shocked to hear Nathan wants to go to Med School even though he has at least 5~7 years of prime climax waiting ahead of him. Maybe his life goal is not in figure skating like yuzu is?? I hope ISU change the rules on TES to put a limit on the max number of quads in the free program to stop figure skating turning into half pipe jst as yuzu said haha. Someone buy yuzu those chinese root medicines to miraculously cure yuzus ankle so we can watch him compete as long as possible

I think he will be around Japanese Media after retirement so thats a relief. I will go long to follow yuzus work even after retirement and wait until yuzu teaches his children figure skating. Hopefully the talent genes are passed through

Yeah but like the rubber band effect or rebound, I and many others I predict will go fan over the dominant skater after yuzus retirement to fill the void for a few seasons and slowly lose interest in FS haha. Its not so much the skating to some people but the legendary presence and excitement that dominant skaters can bring to the sport. Like how Michael Phelps made swimming more fun at the olympics. I think its great that there is Zagitova in the ladies to keep figure skating alive in the ladies singles after yuzu retires. If Eteri didnt have a powerhouse of russian ladies to dominate the ladies figure skating, figure skating would die down in terms of popularity compared to how yuzu is skyrocketing FS internationally right now. Yuzu is raising the popularity of Figure Skating itself right now globally. But Skating fans know that yuzus retirement is not far off (1~3 seasons, 4 season at max). So they are looking for the next big figure skating star. Nathan is good but doesnt have the star power like yuzu. Medvedeva has star power but dominated for 2 seasons, and then is losing to Zagitova who seems to have better jumping and better musicality. So my predictions are that when yuzu retires some percentage of his fans may flock to either Nathan Chen or Zagitova (it depends how well they do from now), to fill the retirement blues and void from yuzus absence. Figure skating would be much more boring without yuzu in the picture Im sure. Its like losing Michael Jackson. And it will feel like how swimming fans felt when Michael Phelps finally and officially retired after Rio olympics. Major depression at first haha

Yes and yuzu did say in an interview he got encouraged by Oda learning quad lutz at 30 years old which sparked potential and hope in him. And I was surprized at how Oda skated way better at Japan Open during his late 20s and early 30s for two seasons after retirement. Oda is a better skater than Tanaka Keiji and that means a 30 year old can still skate better than 23 year old. Maybe age is just a number in some cases.

Yeah I dont want screws in yuzus spine like Plushenko. Plus i think the reason plu stayed was he wnted the 2nd OGM which Yuzu has already. I know its one or two seasons away but im starting to get retirement depression already. When he leaves there is going to be no male skater who i will anticipate with passion as I have done with yuzu.

Plushenko was 23 when he won gold at Torino 27 when he won silver at Vancouver. But then again plushenko didnt compete after Torino so... Yuzu is better off than him

That being said I think yuzu is mentally stronger than all his younger skaters and is jst tough competitor. I think they need to change the scoring system to get lots and lots of points for PCS so Yuzu can have a shot dominating the sport for another 4 years if he wnts to continue. Or put a limitation on number of quad jumps

I think the fact that the older skaters Patrick and Javi being 3~4 years older than yuzu and being constantly sliding downwards in the ranks may have discouraged his motivation to go to Beijing and hence he is now saying he is unsure he wnts to go. I also have accepted the sad truth that figure skating is a sport where dominance is only possible under 25 years old and the maximum even if you are yuzu hanyu. And im sure hanyu knws this too

I have a tendency to draw towards skaters who dominate the field and come out as legendary. Yuzu satisfied that thirst for me and when he retires in a year or two.. I think I will jst gravitate towards Zagitova who says she wants to skate as long as possible. Im sure yuzus retirement will leave a long hunger for skating fans and to fill the void they will gravitate towards either Nathan Chen or Zagitova who are the most likely dominant skaters of the next generation

Why keep our hopes up???? Man this post olympics seems hard on the fans... At least after sochi he was healthy and fully geared for 2018 so fans could rest assured there was another 4 years of fangirling

I remember yuzu once being desperate to skate to Phantom of the Opera but got rejected for 2 seasons in a row by David Wilson. And once he did that he hasnt mentioned another music he has been waiting to skate to. Wonder if he has watched films recently.

This is jst me dreaming but I think the reason yuzu is single is because the majority of top ladies skaters are either too young for him or just doesnt meet his standards haha. He said thru oda nobunari that he likes aragaki yui and when he was younger he used to like horikita maki and ueto aya haha. The current top senior skaters frm japan satoko are old enough but marin who is cute is jst too young haha. I have a feeling he likes japanese girls but its a shame that the current japanese skaters are so much younger than him that it would almost appear illegal for him to date one of them except satoko.

I really dont mind yuzu dating. But i hope it is a fellow figure skater cuz i would love to see him share the passion of his life with his gf
