My first thought was that I'd forgotten numbers, and boy that was going to suck because I keep track of the bills and stuff. But this could be a rare opportunity! A thousand swans (at least), hitting 2000 multiple times - they are all SIGNS, I tell you! SIGNS!
-
Is there some procedure to name you Planetary Treasure or something, because you keep bringing us precious Yuzu gems...
-
Of course. How dare his jumps have excellent technique with no UR or pre-rotation, how dare his spins be so difficult and well executed, how dare his edges be so clear and his transitions so beautiful! It makes judging candy too evident when you compare, punish him immediately!
-
Who's the second one? The Mexican who must be sneaking a flask to competitions is one, of course.
-
I like how we're now complaining about how biased judging is unpredictable, not about biased judging itself. Incompetent/politically motivated judging is just commonplace now.
-
It was off the topics being discussed. Han Yan's 3A especially in the short was probably the best from SA but I found myself comparing it to Yuzu's, and, well... And the extra extra long setups they have for it. Yuzu is just extra. Extra extra.
-
Doesn't watching these competitions without Yuzu, even elite ones, make you appreciate his godly 3A all over again? And also makes you realise that he's really the only one with a chance of ever landing Nessie in competition.

I present to you the ladies' short programme at Skate America. I don't even know what kind of chicanery to expect from judges anymore. This is more of a what-will-judges-do lottery than a skating season, really, by this point, and the skating gods are getting into the act and beginning to Hunger Games off the men, so I no longer have the faintest idea what will happen anywhere. Yuzu is well out of the GP. I am GLAD I don't have to die inside waiting for disaster to strike him at GPF.
-
If Nathan beats Shoma and neither beats Yuzu's WR, JSF might finally stop this Shoma-Yuzu thing and just support both their skaters.
-
Very well done.
-
I just went back to his 2012 R+J1 performance at WC. PCS? 83. Tell me again how PCS inflation for the current quadsters is not a thing. Write me a song, sing it to me.
-
That judge isn't biased. Everybody else is biased.

Oh, dear!! YES, YOU WILL SURVIVE, BOTH OF YOU! Thank you (not even a little bit) for following narrative traditions and giving them both injuries right smack in the middle of it, Olympic season! Thank you (not at all)! The spin-spin-spin-fly-spinspinspin-spin-spin! I do love it. And of course, what's the best place to keep your gloves? In your mouth, boys and girls! In your mouth. Oh, this boy. He does some of the stupid music-emoting stuff I did locked in my room in front of the mirror and jumping on the bed, right there, out on the ice, with cameras and an audience.
-
Well, that's PC sorted, then, judges from Supermarket and Mall have bagged it. Sorry not sorry.
-
@SparkleSalad Spam me with all the videos. I'm taking the weekend completely off and stupid windows did something during update that freed up enough space that I can suddenly use my laptop without freezing and crashing again. All the Yuzu spam. All of it.
-
Those hands. The extension. The grace. You'd never think he could be such a dork.
-
Is that also Yuzu and his quads and his 3A, because if it's not meant to be, it is now in my head.
-
Is this an extra helping of revenge? Your sig AND the vid, for my sig? Because I'm dead. DEAD!! Also because... damn it, 4lo, behave! BEHAVE like you used to!
-
I dreamt that Yuzu decided to do an ice hockey inspired free programme. Then I woke up and realised that it's only because I wish he could wear all that protective gear while skating to protect him from himself.
-
*hugs*
-
That's the alien in him.
-
Well, like I said a lifetime ago during pop-Seimie at ACI, I really don't think we have to worry about him peaking too early!
-
Foooooood I'm taking a break from a massive deadline rush because my eye is literally twitching, but I don't think being on the forum helps with that. To bring us back on topic, of course, Really, he is so loved. This much positivity sent out into the universe for him, it has to have an impact. I hope he feels it.
-
For a silly boy, which he can be quite often, he is an incredibly strong person. I am sure that this one will seem far less demanding than his other injuries and rehabs. Very painful at the time, but easier to recover from. I hope. No jinx, please, whichever goddess is listening. Make the most of the rest of your time in Kyoto, without tiring yourself out so much that it all becomes one big blur. I've made that mistake on vacations and wished I'd spent more time in the hotel room, staring at the ceiling. Then I come back and wish I could have a vacation to recover from the vacation, but I was so rushed that all I really remember accurately, ironically, is the hotel room's ceiling. Tbh my favourite part of Deniss's programmes is the kiss and cry. I mean, I love watching him skate even if he doesn't always land his jumps (but I'm getting on the beautiful jumps or no jumps train now, what middle ground, I don't recognise such a thing), but seeing him and Stephane together makes me so happy. However your stages of grief are working, I'm glad you're feeling better!
-
@SparkleSalad Are you home and recovered from your travels? I know it was disappointing not to see Yuzu (understatement of the year) but Jason's ex and Adam's short, not to mention Voronov, make it seem a little better in hindsight, I hope. And the ema you left, and the prayers... I believe they'll be part of what keeps Yuzu motivated and positive as he recovers. And the hiatus people need to hire subeditors.
