Them crying that "it's being unfair" is actually the one being unfair to Yuzu because c'mon the guy DESERVES it more than anybody else (not discrediting other skaters with this statement). He spent 4 years to build up his skills and experiences for his dream to set foot in PyeongChang and for only a participation to a single competition to decide that would be so unfair for him. And the 3rd spot is perfectly for him with his GPF and Worlds gold medal last season + world record FS. Can we just meh with this issue...

She is 2-time GPF, Russian, European and World Champion, she made it to GPF this cursed season, she's just injured that's why she didn't participate, they made her talk in the IOC meeting while she can just rest at home. I think because they can't if Yuzu's not saying anything about it in the first place. He's updating them of what he plans to do/is doing frequently (and that's good) but even though you can read between the lines that his current situation will more likely result in a withdrawal, giving a statement about it without confirmation from the main person concerned would be plain disrespectful.
