  1. He and Sota could be brothers in these two photos in particular
  2. Gorgeous layout (I adore that photo shoot sooo much), wonderful work @Hydroblade
  3. well that's why he was shopping with his mum
  4. Here's the fan account if you were all curious, I think it was one of the first things I read when I started searching for more info about him http://pixiedusts.tumblr.com/post/86927055153 also, iconic Shoma-like answer:
  5. lmao yuzu stan twitter sustaining itself on the vapours of new content
  6. im cryinggg, can I post this on twitter w/ credit? can you post it on twitter so i can retweet? : P I'm honestly all of them at different times of day, different sections of the month, depending on the cycle of the moon LOL
  7. yuzuru "I am going to Take It Easy, I will downgrade one (1) quad" hanyu
  8. I'll be at Milan too but I'll happily sacrifice a cleanish Seimei at Milan if it means he can hit the jackpot at Olys (well he landed the 4Lz, so he's got that over the 4S LOL)
  9. Yuzu has never gone back to an easier layout for comps, unless injured so I don't expect him to take a 'safe' route just to try and secure the gold as long as he's healthy, I think it goes against everything he's said about his 'ideal' performance and he's also said numerous times that it's challenging new things that keeps him going. I often think he feels more tripped out by the pressure that an easier layout 'should' be perfect and would feel more kuyashii if he didn't go for his absolute ideal. Also this is the kid who went into Sochi with like a 0% success rate on his 4S. If we take his 'shounen anime hero' mindset into account, he may be viewing the 4Lz as a jump he now absolutely has to conquer since it 'defeated' him at NHK lol. save us
  10. It's just a recap of the fact that Yuzu can't go to JNats, but because of his ranking + WC status, there's no doubt he'll be picked as an Olympic rep. Nobu says he thinks Yuzu was the one who wanted to compete at the JNats the most but because he's aiming for the gold medal, he's being cautious to heal his injury. Yeah honestly I didn't expect him to give up the 4Lz, not after lowkey training it for what, 2-3yrs? (and even saying at CoR that he's definitely capable of jumping a better 4Lz) I wonder if it will change now that he doesn't have any comp experience/chances... but tbh I can't...really see people talking him out of it unless something drastic happens again lol let's just...prepare our nerves and hearts and believe in the boy
  11. LMFAO i didn't catch the skirt on the short haired girl at 0:09 and thought they were giving some fanboy Valentine representation. Alas.
  12. The fact this boyband is like....5 dudes who look like they're in their 20s and one dude who looks like he's younger than Shun is making me laugh. The ice rink looks so nice now ; u ; I hope yuzu will be able to skate there soon ;;;; Shun's face...has grown but his body looks like it has yet to catch up (though I like his 3A entry - it looks like it's getting to Yuzu's level of fluidity and doesn't give me that shaky feeling that even some current elite skaters have when entering that jump). I was waiting for him to say 'ton ton ton suuuuu' at 4:56 too.
  13. OT and trigger warning I have to admit I'm grateful that Yuzu is firm about the fact he's an athlete and not an idol and that he's been relatively well protected against the glare of media attention, despite the fact his popularity and fame is approaching or even at idol levels. In that sense, I think he is very wise to try and keep his life as 'normal' as possible outside of skating. And at least athletes are chasing after something concrete, measurable, attainable, not the fickle affections of an often unforgiving public. I know scoring isn't always fair, but at least there is a relatively objective goal for athletes to work towards that is not tied to how much they 'appeal' personally to the public or public tastes in the same way as idols, and at least it is not required for them to maintain an image of being permanently 'accessible' to their fans. All I hope for is Yuzu's health, physical and mental.
  14. that would truly be the most Extra™ thing to have ever happened and yet I'm not even....going to be surprised if it ends up happening because it's somehow #justhanyuthings (though for the sake of everyone's nerves including his own, I kind of hope he'll at least get a chance to calibrate to the arena through the team event first...)
  15. The 4CC and no Team Event stuff is just speculation from the article, nothing has been confirmed. And Brian's quote was an earlier one iirc, the article doesn't indicate when he actually gave the quote
  16. Finally, some concrete news about Chiddy. He moved to Vancouver, has been working with new coaches and is on track to compete at Nationals. I'm proud of him for making a change when things weren't working for him, I'm relieved he sounds like he's in a better place right now. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/winter/figureskating/patrick-chan-olympic-training-canada-1.4455396
  17. If that means he’ll stay on til 2022 to try and get another one, I’ll take it
  18. lmao sorry I started that train of thought on my t-list but at least we got some excellent meme material out of it (cheers @CupidsBow)
