Hahah we came back to swan lake again...we were discussing him playing black swan just a few pages back too I think we all know how our boy loves to repeat a theme he likes with some creative twist （and I think we all love him as a swan...plus it connects so well with his name...and the word of the year he chose is soar! )

True that he circled and liked the other theme. And I think with better edit of music than the one in the video lotr can be even more epic and sentimental to skate to... And on the fantasy track I also like the game of throne music like some of you suggested...the opening theme and the rain of castamere is just soooo catchy and awesome... But perhaps these suggestions are too western for Yuzu? I think he would go for Japanese theme again, building on the success of seimei, but I don't know any epic Japanese cinematic scores off the top of my head...(then again he surprise us with a B class film that has excellent music with seimei, so maybe there is a gem lying around somewhere)

I really like lotr and the music and I think it's not that commonly skated... But I think on the list of like and dislike Yuzu only makes a "so-so" for the shire theme concerning hobbit? So I don't think he is super fond of the music?

Ooo it sounds very Japanesque (seimei 2.0) And Yuzu would make a great Genji!

Guys, I am sorry to interrupt, but I just want to share something that I found on youtube accidentally when I type in the search "yuzuru cats"... It's video that starts off with the interview that Yuzu said he is basically a cat, who is very free-spirited (as mentioned previously in this thread)... And then it goes into side by side comparison of pictures of Yuzu and cats matched to the theme song of Cat's Eye (an old manga featuring 3 sexy sister thieves wearing leotards) for a good 3 mins :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: Credit: Choco Choco on YT

Haha yeah I love how the bold line on the left of him says " beautiful views of Japan" ...yes indeed, Yuzu is one of the most beautiful views Japan has to offer So I guess that answers the question why he is on the cover for photography magazine? :space:

I keep having this image of him first come on as the elegant white swan :embSwan: and then pull a DRAMATIC FAST COSTUME CHANGE that we previously joked about for the :goe: that the judges refuse to give him, in the middle of the program, and turn into a black swan to do some fiece step sequences and jumps in the second half haha :devil:

Especially with his obsession and identification with swan programs... I wouldn't oppose to it too. :embSwan: of course he will have to skate as the swan, not the prince... i think he can totally show case his angelic elegant side and seductive crazy side and you bet he and his tailor can come with some epic costume that combines the black and the white swan and all the sparkles and feathers

Guys, thanks for bringing the news of the ice show! I am...both excited (because I enjoy him in the shows with the group dancing and the live collaborations and possible sexy programs...he seems to have fun with these) :pooh: ..and concerned for his health cuz he is doing all three stops ( I feel you, Hydro) :sadPooh: But hopefully he is sticking close with his own plan of staying healthy and being smart about it.. :acceptable:

Patrick, Yuzuru have both the height and the distance in their jumps (Javi only has height and distance in the quads, his triples are meh). Especially, Yuzuru, he can jump higher 3A or longer 3A if he wants to. The 3A we are seeing Yuzuru doing today are not the best 3A he can do. Because all of his 3A now are performed in the second half of the program, out of difficult transitions and in combo. And those 3A of Yuzuru are already huge. If you want a huge 3A from the beginning, without difficult transitions, with crazy height and distance, certainly Yuzuru can do it. He just does not do it. So I have no doubt he can even perform bigger 3A than he is doing now. Agree that yuzu can have even further and higher 3A, we just don't see it as much since it's in the second half with complicated steps and combo. Time to bring in the 12-seat spanning HUGE 3A of yuzu least anyone forget! Thanks for the update of our lil. ninja yuzu! He does look so young with his bangs... :space: Oh man, it hasn't even been that long but it felt like ages... And we really rush to gobble up any news of him like desperate fishes in a pond lol

This is drawn for kid’s day in Japan (5/5) and it's big yuzu saying that his dream one day is to land a quad axel and he thinks he can do it (from that interview after competition) and little yuzu basically calling him out and saying "but you only just stabilized quad loop now"(hinting that he is too slow in progression haha)and so the big yuzu proceeds to chase him. Anyways, sorry i couldn't find the right moment to introduce myself in the middle of you all's great discussion on techniques, but I believe that I haven't introduce myself properly in this main thread. I was a lurker back in GS and enjoyed all the discussions and updates a lot so I am very happy to have planet hanyu to continue this journey of being a fanyu! Thank you all who set this place up and all the people who kept the discussions going (be it serious or silly~)

They talked about the quad era and around 8:30 one of the women guest mention how looking at hanyu 's jump makes her think that she can jump quads too because he made it look so easy an effortless (I am sure it's a sentiment shared by many hahah) Oda also complimented on yuzu 's exceptional skill and short set up time that makes his jump flow so much better than others~

[attachment=0]CsRlyayUAAAgnfy.jpg[/attachment] I believe this is the list, and the double circles are the ones he LOVES, which included : Asian dream song Merry christmas Mr.lawrence (this song would be beautiful for him to skate to, just don't know if it will be dramatic enough for olympic) Theme from the 12 kingdoms (which is has very distinct Asian sound, a bit like seimei, but it's from an anime not some famous opera or musical or movie, so I don't know how many judges can relate.) 2 songs from man in the iron mask (very cinematic ...but man in the iron mask is sort of associated with yagoudin as we know...) The name of life song from the movie Spirited Away(also a Joe hisashi composition, so don't know if he wants to repeat esp. The judges don't seem to favor this type of music...)

Ooo can I request to marry the last fierce steps after his fall from his 2012 WC R&J 1.0 , the bielmann and the gentle let down from H&L Gpf 2016, and the "I will show you" 3A from almost standstill after Brian and Tracy tell him to go back to skating during that one practice ( either at 4cc or world, I forgot ) haha
