My bad. I mixed up Jnats with another domestic competition apparently. Honestly the selection criteria is not clear at all. And the results of the test skates at the beginning of the season are not published. And seems like there is a "senpai before" rule.

How does the selection work exactly? Last season Shun was a junior nats medalist and did even better at senior nats than this season, but he didn't get a JGP spot. So not sure than he or Yuma will get JGP spot next season.

Well after what happened this season, i bet things will go pretty well for her.

I hope that she will land those two 3As, and the rest of triples. She would be the third to do that and the score will be huge. Great shape.

If unfairness can still in Russia and not go in Japan it would be great. I don't want to see infuriating things happen.

She won actually. In the fair word where Rusfed doesn't want to live. The judging gave an absolute fake picture of the level of the two skaters. Give Liza the 66 PCS that she got in GP for the same quality of skate and she still has almost mid 140s. Give Medvedeva 70 PCS (her SB) that she got in a challenger for the same skate, call her flutz, call her URs, give her appropriate GOEs and she's far behind Liza.

Then they should send a note saying "honey, don't work that hard. Even if you do better, we have already made our choice". And mostly they should not say to a girl who was ill to prepare for worlds if it's for ditching her at the end.

Glad to see that at least some skaters can win things with no PR at all.

At this extent, yes, it's news. Bad news.

I'm sorry but Alina and Satoko's treatment can't be compared to Medvedeva's. What Medvedeva is getting and gets since her first senior season is another level. Seriously. You can say Satoko was overscored in the olympic season. But after NHK, her first competition after injury, the girl put clean skate after clean skate (without obvious mistakes). Giving JSF material to push her, even if sometimes the pushing was not enough. Hell, if Satoko was Medvedeva she wouldn't have get those 3 URs calls in free skate at GPF in Japan. Without calls she would have medaled. She probably should have been third at most at 2017 nats, but that would have still got her the spot. Here you have a case where the skater didn't skated well the entire season but still got a spot because fed wanted to.

I'm glad Brian doesn't help Yuzu on PR side. If it's for saying that kind of hypocritical comment, no thanks.

I guess that Mishin didn't expected that his skater that he will see at worlds would be Samodurova, and not Liza. Things happen... That reminds me that luck....and strong favoritism can play a big part in the success of skaters.

I can't imagine reactions if the situation was reversed. Medvedeva having the season that Liza has and being left at home because fed gave her spot to someone whom first not too bad competition of the season is a late domestic one.

I hope she slays.

I don't have so much respect for TAT anymore.

Not on skaters, on Rusfed. I mean skaters don't necessary need to bomb badly. If skaters do so-so programs and tech panel calls URs and wrong edges it woukdn't be surprising. With the right judging it's not impossible to see Rusfed losing these spots, as they should since they don't care for justice.

Rusfed losing his three spots would be the most delicious karma.

Would be glorious to see her upset fed plans by delivering. I want to see how they would clean the mess.
