I agree that's it much better to work with skaters who has good foundation and right technique. But as talanted as Yuzu is he surely knows how hard and how many years he worked to build up all the elements to high level and stable them even from good foundation. And about compromises I think with age you're more ready for compromises than when you are young (but of course it's all just theories)

There was an old video of Yuzu reading Kuroko no basuke It seems like Yuzu can give good advice in technique and he's also studying mental aspects so I think he can pass a lot of knowledge to the future skaters.

Too old to try a skating career but to be a stuff a member at the rink also seems like not a bad plan. Should I change a job?

Oh, that reminded me... I saw Yuzu before SP practice in Marseilles, I think audience entrance was on one side of the arena and skaters bus was on another. So when I was about to head to the entrance I saw a familiar figure with Kikuchi-san... seems like that day Yuzu came by taxi. There were very little amount of people around, while I thought to take out a photo or not he was almost near the closed zone, but I hadn't thought about approaching him that time cuz running after him and disturbing before practice just didn't seem right.

choreo seqs from news clips as amazing: sharp moves and great speed, but two years ago sometimes at practices it was better then in competition cuz during run-throughs Yuzu usually skips some parts of the programme so there's more time to breath, we'll know how it'll be now

I also saw Nathan but didn't approach him... cuz I dunno... he's good but it's not like I'm a fan, hard to explain... but at the same time I was happy to take picture with Patrick cuz already at Barcelona GPF I found out that at some moments he has quite a funny side of the personality (and I ran into him so many times there I really think I should already had asked for a pic back then )

I think we can't ask every skater to wear the heart on his sleeve it's really a rear talent (at Helsinki I can only name Yuzu, Jason and Misha Ge), so just good interpretation of music/character can be enough for me. And Shoma's interpretation can be a mask but at the same time he has that talent to capture you attention during his performance.

My tips are: 1) find some HQ-pics with Yuzu + some pretty background 2) photoshop pretty Yuzu to the pretty background 3) find where to print it But I must admit a like a lot Japanese fans banners which seems to be hand-made with different fabrics and sparkles but sadly I can't sew like at all...

Oh, second year PW was already way better, the first year was more like trying to be cool but being cute (I still remember a lot of critique for PW 1.0 and NDP addressed to the new coaching team from fans back then, don't know where're those critiques now...) I'd say I'm a team approach but depends really on the situation... in the line at airport it maybe awkward (only if you're lucky enough to be next to him and better say smth. then just stare, if you can remember words of course ), if you're at the... I dunno some hall/shop and not too many people around then maybe asking for a pic will also be OK after saying smth. nice ))) Of course I'm not at all famous but when on the festival a couple of people said they liked my performance I was very happy - it just seems different to hear an applause and to having someone say a compliment to you directly I also tried to say nice things to skaters with whom I took pics in Helsinki and they seems pretty pleased (or they just were being polite ) At the GPF 2015 it was very noticeable that he looked up several times during practices and above the last rows of the seats there were banners

I had an impression that in Japan there're usally a lot of flowers and less stuffed toys thrown on the ice)) Drowing in flowers could also be nice

I don't know if he'll fit into Etude now. I remember how many fans me included wanted him to skate R&J1 one more time, so he did it as an EX but it just wasn't the same... so some programmes must stay in the past (they were skated in right time), some can be brought to the new level (like PW with new grown up sass). He became drastically better compared to previous season. On technical side I'd say the flow from the jumps became better but mostly the programmes fit him very well. So even if I think Nathan potenially can be artistically more interesting, Boyang was much more fun to watch last season (Nathan was more fun in JrGPF 2015)

I think it's the timing... the Ballade was announced first so everybody more or less came to terms with it already. So they hoped for new FS then. And even though I'm not a fan of two repeated programmes I can't bring myself to complain about Ballade seeing how much emotions he puts into it.

I liked the comparison with Best Album I had the same association myself like he put out his best hits cd and laid it there (not in a bad sense... more like at the concert even though the group usually presents the new album but what really gets the public going is the hits, even though you may heard it like 100 times before that)

Yuzu got 8.1 points for his 3Lz in Worlds and fully rotated fallen 4Lz will be 9 points. But it seems like you need a lot of strength to land it so now I belive that 4Lz as last jumping pass is possible only in anime

After SC he finally got fed up with his SP mistakes and decided to change the layout I still remember how almost everyone (me included) were worried about 2 quad SP but turned out nicely and now became a must. don't want him to bomb the CoR though (I'm selfish I know... )

I think both is risky: going for consistency with lower BV and going for a new jump in Olympic season. So we just have to blindly trust Yuzu on this layout decision cuz at this point he should know better what he is capable of executing. I think consistent clean SP is the one needed cuz it will help to make an impression as a consistent skater, even if you'll have one or two (not so big) mistakes in the free later. And it's really interesting to know that now Yuzu has a backup plan in his FS, maybe last season changed his views about being perfect all the time (even I'm sure he still wants to). I also remember Orser saying (in his book or in interview) that a skater shouldn't have a backup plan (will make him more relaxed or thinking too much - can't find the exact quote rn), but at the same time he remembers that Javi lost a medal at last Olympics cuz he didn't have a backup plan and repeated 3S in the end of the programme. So I wonder if as a coach he also changed his mind on the matter.

I agree with this. Even if I'm not a fan of recycling in the end of the day it's Yuzu who skates and more then anything I want to see him smiling in the middle of the podium (when it counts). Anyway it'll be interesting to see how Semei will evolve. And about critique - in this life you can't please everyone, so why bother?
