Well, that's true, that's why I said I understand his reasons about repeating programmes with my head it's just my heart wanted smth. new cuz he's just too good in what he does But the boy really wants that gold so I hope his efforts will pay off when it counts. You can't say that they aren't doing that. Shoma will also use his old FS, Javi skates basacially the same character under the different music every time (it's a pity he didn't experiment at least once between Olympics), can't say anything about Nathan I've seen him only one year. Or maybe it's just Yuzu who needs more time to get into new programmes to be able to put all his heart into skating (or maybe it's just fan in me talking).

Medvedeva doesn't do harder jumps then others (she hasn't 3A or smth. like this), but she backloads them as much as she can and is crazy consistent. In man's field it's much harder to be consistent with all those quads but competition is very tight rn and even one mistake can throw you off the podium. That's why having 4Lz is good but if it's not stable enough it's very risky. So we will see how it'll go.

OK, I'm sold, there goes my money

http://www.hochi.co.jp/sports/winter/20170810-OHT1T50054.html?from=rss&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Google translates the last paragraph like it takes time for the new programme to be finished during the season but in Olympic year he has no time for this cuz he wants to have a positive start. Maybe smb. can correct me. P.S. OK I get all those reasons but at least one new programme could be nice, but I also can't say no to Chopin cuz it was too good in FaOI P.P.S. A new pop/rock/blues EX maybe

blue or sparkly black please white was beautiful and inspired from the film/history, but like all white it melted a little with the ice (not much cuz it was very sparkly) and he has great sharp arm movements in this FS so I think I even liked his run-throughs in UA better

No prob. I feel like it's also hard for me to precisely express my thoughts in English (too many of them ) Is this how Yuzu feels at press-confs?
-
I think it's just last two years we became spoiled by some excellent programmes Jeff always came up with smth. interesting for SP and Yuzu chose smth. new for FS. But well, I can remember that I wasn't a fan of NDP and R&J2 (not that it helped biting my nails any less during comps), so at least he's recycling his best programmes
-
Basically yes. Maybe last year's new things didn't get that much love so they decided not to take any risks this year cuz usually Yuzu needs time to grow into new programmes and seems like he wants to show his "average best" from the start.

Sorry, I didn't mean that artistically Seimei is any less then H&L, actually the opposite I find Seimei more interesting as a theme (was very happy at the news about Japanese themed FS 2 years ago) with more strong/powerful music ( but I also love H&L too - it's just different and a matter of taste). I mean I would love him to develop artistically, to see what other music/character he'd like to portrait on the ice and so on. Of course I think he can be even more in character of Seimei now (just needs enough strength for all those jumps). Maybe we just expect too much from the best and they're only humans with their own concerns.

I feel the same (I literally feel like I want to hug our beautiful reliable 3A ) About 4Lz Idk, surely Yuzu must know better how much time he needs to integrate a new jump to a competitive programme even if it's good in practice, it was never an easy process for him. I wonder if he ever considered doing 2x4Lo instead of 2x4S, but maybe a combo with 4Lo in the second half is still too much to ask.

A little rambling after a working day. I'm not feeling disappointed just not feeling excited (maybe it'll be till first ACI practice). I must say now I'm even a little more excited about Chopin 3.0 then Seimei 2.0. I think it's cuz of the emotional FaOI performances and the fact that Chopin can be skated with different emotions depending on the day and Seimei requires certain character so it has not a lot of room for improvement performance-wise and it always interesting to see how the programme develops during the season. All in all I feel like it's a step back from artistic point of view (that goes to Shoma's FS too by the way) and this is a side why I became Yuzu's fan in the first place, so recycling both programmes feels like we're missing on this part of him. But I understand that this is a sport and not a theater. I just really hope it was not a forced decision because of too much pressure, expectations and no room left for mistakes and risks. In the end of the day it's Yuzu not me who will stand in the middle of Olympic ice rink with all eyes on him. I will just hope and pray that he'll achieve what he aims for. And then if we're lucky maybe he'll decide to stay a couple of more years in sport so we'll be able to enjoy his unique mix of artistry and technique. OK, end of rambling, I just needed to write down these thoughts to let them out of my head

Уголок для российской души (поклонники ЮХ, милости просим!)
Lunna replied to Fay's topic in International Talk
Я все-таки надеялась на новую программу, но Сеймей заслуживает олимпийской арены, поэтому надеюсь у Юзу все получится. пс: зато можно не ломать голову над баннером и просто откопать барселонский -
Then this will be The Planet Of The OverLord Trololo

I would be more excited with a new FS either but I'm not feeling disappointed like after Chopin 3.0 news at first (maybe cuz we were already prepared for it a little or it's just the lack of sleep ) But never wished him at least one more season as much as of right now (but of course it's his life and career so he must do what's best for him) The most disappointing thing for me is that I will be not on the judges side at CoR even during practices... those damn VIP seats )
-
I prefer him to aim for a clean performance rather then bring very unstable 4Lz into a game (I feel like it's different from 4S-planned fall situation in Sochi cuz judges will not excuse his mistakes this time around). I'm just not very happy about replacing second 3A with 4T. Love his 3As too much Yeah, I agree with this. For me Seimei is still more powerful and interesting programme then H&L (sorry, can't resist intense!Yuzu) but H&L structer was really better, Seimei has this jump-after-jump moments.
-
I terms of BV 4T over 3A has not a lot sense in Yuzu's case especially if he can get a little higher goe for his 3A combo, but it will depend on how good second half quads will be he'll definitely need a lot of strength to pull out all those combos one after another. So either this layout gives him more confidence that he have back up plan in case he pops smth or he's 4Lz is still work in progress
-
And in the end of the season Yuzu said that he's not thinking about bringing in 4Lz and wants a clean performance... I dunno who to trust more at the moment
-
If he pops into triple he can jump two 2T/2S combos, but usually he pops into double anyway
-
OK, whatever it takes for Olys but Yuzu owes his fans at least one more season with two brand new programmes after all this trolling PS: at least I don't need a new banner for CoR can use the one from Barcelona
-
SEIMEI... still hoped for smth. new but OK... too exhausted to stress over it now, just to hear reasons from Yuzu will be nice (after I'll sleep it over)
-
It's not like I thought they will show the whole new (I hope at this point) FS... just give me the music and I'll go to sleep
-
Hope he wouldn't ditch one the 3As though
-
At times like this I wonder why I love him so much That better be damn good surprise then
