  1. Does anyone have a link to Gensan's and Iizuka's main pages, please?
  2. Is it possible that Marin will get any competitions outside Japan this season?
  3. What? Japan isn't sending skaters to JGP?
  4. It looks like that one show where skaters portray characters from Japanese history? I wonder who Keiji and - is the other one Daisuke? - are supposed to be. :]
  5. Can anyone still watch the kokutai junior ladies archived stream? Having almost finished watching the other disciplines, I wanted to watch this one, but the archived stream for junior ladies SP keeps dying on me :[
  6. Is there a way to download the archived Kokutai streams? I am worried that they'll be taken down before I have had time to watch them. I'm finished with Men, halfway through Ladies, and have yet to watch all juniors. I don't know if they normally put up Kokutai, but in this weird season it's good to find an unblocked, archived stream. I am happy and grateful.
  7. Does anyone know if the Aichi competition is actually taking place? I don't see any results there yet, which is weird because there are many categories, and it should be ending on Dec 6... ETA, oh good, I see juniors' scores are up now.
  8. Thanks for the info! I feel very sorry for Tatsuya! He won regionals and sectionals, only to mess up JNats and not qualify for senior Nats All that while injury made him WD in tears from last year's senior Nats, and while he chose to stay in juniors to get some results and reputation before going senior. Then a chance to redeem himself slips through his fingers due to one off day, and by just one spot... and both JGP and JWorlds are cancelled now... Aww The boy really has the worst luck.
  9. Question, so Tatsuya Tsuboi, who was 7th, won't be able to qualify for Nats eventhough he won jr regionals and sectionals? -_-
  10. Aww Rika H, 3-2... Good luck to her in the free. Sad also for Yuhana. Ayaka had 2ft 3A if I remember my kanji right? I want to see Yuna S's Eden. And Mai, such a strong competitor! ;u; Thanks for the reports!
  11. ^ But Shoma hasn't lost his jumps under Lambiel. And Vasiljevs has landed a quad in competition recetly. I think Rika will keep her jumps.
  12. I actually teared up reading this. I have to share this further.
  13. Stupid question but what does the V in spin levels mean? Not hitting a position?
  14. Guys, where's the talk of Rika possibly switching to Plushenko coming from? I thought people were just joking when I stumbled upon it...
  15. Can foreigners watch Japanese regionals somehow?
  16. Since Japanese skaters never participate in the later Challengers in my experience, the result is the same as if the ban had been extended for the whole series. I doubt they'd be willing to send some skaters to late challengers just when Sectionals and Nats preparations are underway. But didn't JSF outright cancel JGP Yokohama? And JSF didn't wait for ISU's decision regarding JGP, just said they won't send their skaters there. They're earlier competitions than senior GP so that's probably why, but apparently JSF don't need ISU statements to act. Like I said, I don't have a problem with JSF protecting their athletes, but if the elite who have GPs end up going (doesn't look too likely but who knows), then this is so unfair towards the lower ranked skaters, unless an exception is made for later challengers (which I'm sceptical of).
  17. Not quite, and that's what irks me the most. 'Protecting' the GP-ineligible (or GP potential) skaters by having them stay at home while happily sending off the higher ranked ones to GP, doesn't seem like the best way to protect all their skaters. Either they're deliberately risking the health of their GP skaters - or they only keep GP because a) they don't have to spend so much money on them (the organizing countries are the ones who pay for accommodations, right?) , and b) because the biggest Fed favorites are guaranteed them anyway, and will have a chance to get points there. As a fan of the underdogs, this move of theirs stinks big time for me.
  18. What fiasco are you all talking about? I haven't been following Medvedeva updates, but I gathered she came to Japan due to ice show obligations, and then couldn't leave back for Canada due to closed borders. That's all I know. What am I missing here?
  19. That's so kind of Rika That's exactly why I learn Japanese, to be able to tell my favorites I support them. And when a fave of yours tells you 'Ureshii desu/I'm glad', then it motivates you to learn even more. I miss Team Japan.
  20. Well for me this was the first time I heard about it. Not everyone follows skating closely or catches all news...
  21. Ugh, I hope it's not approved. 60 percent the judges' own likes and impressions in the free, to promote their favs? No, thanks. It's nice theory but impossible to put in practice I think. It would make skating quite boring I fear. And the identical time limit would make both parts too similar. And also skaters who tend to mess up SP jump passes could as well hang up teir skates as unless they're among a lucky few who get reputation points, no way are they going to make up for the loss in the free with less value for jumps.
  22. What a sweet video message from skaters. If this compilation is Miki's work, then thanks to her! I wonder what Daisuke M does for occupation as he's still so super flexible, and I notice his quarantine exercise videos on Twitter now and then. And good to see Keiji again. Good luck to him with his current difficult coaching situation!
  23. Thanks for keeping us informed, Paskud! I am glad to see Mai again. It sounds like she's still skating? Is it possible that her university still has an open rink and hasn't been closed to public? About Hamada... I am happy for Hiroaki, and I am a Rika K fan. But if Hamada's growing realm is now associated with Stephane and Ghislain, I am afraid poor Nobunari Oda doesn't have a smidge of a chance in succeeding in his complaint for Hamada's treatment of him. I hope for the best of him, but it doesn't look like he'll be getting justice anytime soon. The silence since December is telling.
  24. Who would that leave in juniors to secure JGP spots? I have heard that Kao Miura is very good, but apart from that? Shun Sato will undoubtedly do what's best for himself, but from the federation's perspective, I wonder if it's a smart strategy to have the senior field packed with great skaters who won't be able to get spots, and the junior field rather the opposite. Just saying based on vague guesswork; I really don't have much insight into the junior men, but ATM it feels like this to me. I am glad to hear that Mai could be returning. Fingers crossed for her.
  25. ^ I am pleasantly surprised that Yuuto got a chance to compete too! And I'll be cheering for Utana/Shingo if there's a stream. But Koshiro placed higher than Yuuto at Nats, so I am surprised he's not going anywhere, especially since Shoma is going. Anyone knows what's going on with him, is he okay?
