I am really excited about what this new Yuzu will offer next season now that his greatest burden isn't there anymore. It reminds me Brian's words about Yuzu learning new things about himself in the post-injury period.

I will be sad because Worlds this time are not far away from the place where I live, but If I have to choose between Worlds2018 or 2-3 seasons more of competitive skating for Yuzu...well it's obvious. There is only one month left and I don't want him to go through the stress of a big competition once more. He just gave his all to his greatest achievement.

My feeling is that he should skip the Worlds. Although I selfishily want him to go, I don't want him to lose because of health issues. And make his recovery more longer and painful. LGC StSq Encore?

I don't think he already has done a proper check up. But he may feel better overall after some days of rest. I prefer to be optimistic until we get some news, I have had enough of doom and gloom in the last few months.

I may be wrong but the footage of today's practice with Yuzu doing all these (absolutely unnecessary) jumps makes me feel optimistic about his recovery. I don't think his team would allow him to practice if his ankle was in really bad state or there were risk of further damage. There is no need now to hide his actual condition, he can do what he wants on ice. If he jumps it is because he is able to do it without much pain, right? It just doesn't make sense to practice 4 days before the gala on painkillers.

I was thinking the same. But jumps... Or ice dance. it's actually an option, because he has the required skating skills. But there are lifts and I just can's imagine it ETA post #2000. I hope there is nothing special about it and I am not predictiong the future here

He already had the same phone case at SC2016 and we weren't able to guess his FS for Olympics Now for gold in speed skating in Beijing 2022. Seriously he skates very fast during warm-ups.

I thought the same. 3A take off is from the left foot, but I think what gives him most troubles now are landings, as they always are on the right foot. I am glad to see the same genuine smile as at the pre-competition practices .
