The ISU Skating Awards are scheduled for July 11. "Japanese figure skating star Yuzuru Hanyu received two nominations for the inaugural International Skating Union (ISU) Skating Awards. "The two-time Olympic champion earned a nomination in the most valuable skater category, which aims to reward athletes who increase the popularity of figure skating with their fan base and media attention. "He was nominated alongside American rival Nathan Chen and French ice dance pair Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron. "Hanyu's second nod came in the best costume category, with American free dancers Madison Chock and Evan Bates, plus Russia's Anna Shcherbakova." https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1095737/isu-skating-awards-nominations Given these criteria, if Yuzu does not win the most valuable skater category, there is something very odorous going on in the offices of the ISU.

There are those who believe that the “Gods” of ancient civilizations were actually aliens. (The book, “Chariots of the Gods”, the TV Series, “Ancient Aliens”, etc.)

Amazon Japan delivers to Canada and, if the book is already available, shipping is fast. And remember that the price that you will be charged for the book will be slightly less than the amount shown for the product because the price that is shown is for Japanese customers and already includes tax. For non-Japanese customers, the tax amount will be deducted from the advertised price. Of course, you will be charged for shipping and import fees, but you will see what the total amount will be before you make your final decision. I personally think that ordering online makes more sense than waiting to go to Japan or even asking a friend in Japan to purchase it for you. I’ve done all three and ordering online is the simplest, most expedient and least expensive.

I think it was Tsuzuki-sensei who related the story about two or three bigger boys trying to bully Yuzu, but Yuzu never backed down.
-
The least you would need is Yuzu’s permission and a top-notch professional translator completely familiar with both Japanese and English. You would also need a publisher. Someone who would know the process is Courtney Milan a.k.a. Heidi Bond who is also a HUGE FANYU. I believe that she was at the 2019 ACI. As you may recall, I posted about her some time back. She is a best-selling historical and contemporary romance novelist and former SCOTUS law clerk and law professor. She blew the whistle on sexual harassment in the US federal court system which resulted in the early retirement of a federal court judge.

UFO spotted over Sendai! A weather balloon? Nah... Just further evidence that Yuzu is an alien. https://www.ctvnews.ca/sci-tech/mysterious-ufo-captures-imaginations-in-japan-1.4989626

Yes, making the base values of these three jumps the same would have made Yuzu more competitive with his quad loop.

The bedding company is Nishikawa.

NEVER EVER! NOT YUZU’S WAY.

I think that Yuzu and Shuzo have had a pretty special relationship ever since Shuzo first interviewed 16-year-old Yuzu in 2011.

I believe that you are right @barbara.. There is nothing mentioned in the video about his father being associated with the school. He was making a surprise visit to this school to thank them for their support during the Sochi Olympics. I do not think that Yuzu and his father would arrange a visit to his father’s school. If anything, I would think that Yuzu would do everything to avoid involving his family in any of his televised events.

BLASPHEMY!!!

I think he said when he was on the Asaichi program that he usually wears a T-shirt and jeans or similar casual garments. This was in response to him being complemented about the outfit he was wearing – blue shirt, white pants and white shoes. He said that he didn’t usually wear such fashionable clothes.
-
IIRC, you fell in love with Yuzu when you saw him wearing a hakama on the broadcast of the Kohaku Uta Gassen.

The title says it all: “You are already dead.”

…and even more beautiful!

Both Canada and the United States permit dual or multiple citizenship, so it is possible for you to be an American and Canadian citizen at the same time.

Yeah, that flag on Yuzu’s mask is pretty prominent. No one would notice it unless a photographer took a picture with a 500x zoom. I’ve discussed this before, but the Japanese are overly sensitive about this issue. So it’s OK to waive the Japanese flag, often really huge ones, but not display a tiny one on a mask? I never thought about this before, but don’t the Japanese team uniforms all display a Japanese flag?
-
WTF! That little tiny Japanese flag that I didn’t even notice until you mentioned it? And what’s wrong with having your national flag on anything? Americans and Canadians proudly display the stars and stripes and maple leaf all the time. There’s nothing wrong in being proud of your country and waving the flag. This smacks of the JSF President, Seiko Hashimoto (now Olympic minister), getting in her digs. She had an unhealthy affection for Daisuke Takahashi and hates Yuzu. When I saw the picture, I thought the caption might say: “Yuzuru Hanyu wonders why the creepy big guy is following him so closely.”

Yuzu is one-of-a-kind. He’s not capable of being pigeonholed. Yuzu is, after all, an alien.

Google Alert, right?

I find myself re-watching the TSN coverage of Yuzu’s SP and FS at 2019 Skate Canada in Kelowna with commentary by Tracy Wilson and Rod Black because they are feel-good, Yuzu did so well and we had such a great time. 2019 Skate Canada TSN coverage of the SP and fluff: 2019 Skate Canada TSN coverage of the FS and fluff: I also re-watch the following: Yuzu’s SP and FS at the PyeongChang Olympics. My favourite commentator is Belinda Noonan. (The colour commentator Jim Van Horne was worse than useless. He reminded me of the Fred Willard character, Buck Laughlin, in the 2000 comedy, "Best in Show") 2017 Worlds “Hope and Legacy”. 2014 Sochi Olympics “Parisienne Walkways”. 2012 Worlds “Romeo and Juliet”.

I think the reality is that the picture should depict the two Yuzus sitting in thrones with Toshi on his knees, bowing and bearing gifts.

Jack would wet himself if he was interviewing Yuzu.
