According to their Facebook page, the Dutch Challenge Cup will have 17 skaters from Japan. This is inc novices, junior and senior. Considering the fact that the event takes place during the last four days of the Olympics, I’m not expecting Hanyu to show up, 😂 but it would make a lovely competition, time-wise, for, say, Wakaba? 

One can dream.

I need to add that competition to the schedule, then! And yeah, let Wakaba go; she'll need something before Worlds.

I’ll be honest, I am only gonna bother going if those three ladies show up. The rest of the field doesn’t interest me much (except the other Japanese, but I’m also not going to spend four days there from morning to evening to catch them all).

They often have late cancellations, too, so... we’ll see. Plus the timing of the event is super annoying!!

I hope Wakaba goes because the competition experience prior to Worlds will be good.

I hope so, too, but mainly because I think (she and) her programs are absolute stunners and I would love the extra chance to see them in real life. A livestream is a livestream, it's just not the same as being there.

@Winnie_20 is the 4 days pass entrance ticket the only thing I have to buy? (and is it really only €10?)

Kewl! Yes, it's 10 euros for the four days. It's really not a high profile competition, they'd almost have to pay people to attend. 

If you're staying in the city somewhere (and really, I wouldn't bother staying anywhere else), randstadrail will get you to De Uithof easily. You'll need to buy an "OV chipkaart", that's the best and easiest way to travel.

Well, that's decided then. €10 to see Wakababy!! I'm in Nijmegen at the moment. Been in the country for almost 1.5 years now. I'd be a fool not to take this opportunity. I guess I might see you there.
