Some of the art works done in pastels remind me of the illustrations for children's book by Shirley Hughes. Many of these book are very beloved to me for many nostalgic reasons. The art style suits Yuzu. 

The are also rather reminiscent of works by Degas, the colour tones and capturing the poses of practice. Like the practice scenes of ballet dancers portrayed by Degas
