  1. The Bladesmiths know who is the Emperor Top of the Hall of Fame https://www.johnwilsonskates.com/hall-of-fame Olympic Champion - no further explanation needed for a living legend This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  2. Little purple butterfly, the colour Porphyry symbol of royalty
  3. There is such a huge number of beautiful art works, with new art appearing every day. So many talented artists, lots of people to appreciate the art and a priceless muse. Each day coming to the art thread is like entering an art gallery with new exhibits. With Yuzu as the inspiration, the thread will be very long indeed.
  4. Just watching Prologue ' Dream that will end someday' and how creative and clever it was to segue from the 'Dreamy Aspiration' video. Upon first viewing of the Dreamy Aspiration the rectangular wrap looked quite unfinished in comparison to Yuzu's gorgeous crystal memories costume. Then an idea began to crystallise about the symbolism or reason it is a plain white rectangle, that has now reappeared at the beginning of Dream that will someday end. Perhaps it was not just a link or continuation from the video to the live performance but a 'ghost' or remnant from the past life of competitions. The footage of Yuzu skating a lap of honour after the flower ceremony in Sochi was shown. Yuzu is laughing and draped in the national flag of Japan, Nisshoki or Hinomaru. Yuzu will never be in competition again and will never have the honour of representing his country, thus he will not have the joy of winning a medal and skating the lap of honour. Yuzu may well be saying goodbye to this experience as he has become a professional skater. Not representing Japan in competition is also a dream that has ended, no matter that it followed the most illustrious international competitive career in skating history. Yuzu's brilliant career in competition is now told in the history and record books and that book is now complete. Yuzu's interview about the story told in Prologue is not intended to be maudlin but a cathartic outpouring. The arrow of time moves in one direction only. The past stays in the past, but it can be an important foundation for the building the future. Thank you for your indulgence
  5. Just thinking about the enormous success of Prologue, which at the outset may have seemed like a bit of a gamble. Yuzu commented that due to the timeframe it had been difficult to find suitable venues in order to actually have two tour dates before the end of this year. Now that the success has been realised following the inaugural two shows, many ice arena venues will now be asking Yuzu to consider their venue. It just makes good business sense for any venue that wants to see sell out shows and have lots of visitors spend money in their cafes on top of the show tickets. Clearly the train operator understands about meeting demand and attracting customers who need to travel to and from the event venues and hotels in Hachinohe already responded with price increases. Businesses in various regions with ice skating venues of suitable sizes will probably be reaching out to Team Yuzu to try and attract his interest.
  6. Please accept this summary, it will not convey the beauty of the author's lyrical descriptions about Yuzu's skating. The author is inspired by the beautiful movements seen during Yuzu's skating performances. There are some poignant passages about how dream like and magical the atmosphere becomes when Yuzu stands on the ice for the opening pose. The author describes how Yuzu embodies the essence of story telling through his movements, flowing across the ice and the music is part of Yuzu not the other way around, not Yuzu expressing music but being the source. The author goes on to quote the sentiments of many fans that they have seen Yuzu perform live, their world changes, as if their eyes are opened to see more of the world. (That is the essence of art, it is conveying the creators feeling to the viewer, listener, reader it encourage an augmented interaction with the world.- My interpretation) The spectators describe a sense that the world is somehow 'more' after having seen Yuzu skate live. Sorry if this is a very clumsy summary the author of the article is much more poetic and a better writer than I Hope this helps until you can access a translation
  7. Part of me wonders if the draped fabric is a memory tribute to competition days when Yuzu would be draped in the flag of his country
  8. Yuzu wears Chacott - dance and fitness clothing brand. There was a John Wilson blade pendant on the website for sale few years ago as tribute to Yuzu.
  9. Moomin troll is wearing TenChi and staring at a city scape. The golden fish on the roof is very attractive
  10. Yup, the only train with more people wanting to board is probably the Hogwarts Express
  11. The other issue is activating the sim, which can only be done on arrival in Japan. This is the biggest problem, from having digested several posts about this- now feelong queasy, because unless a ticket purchase portal opens which allows for lottery application with an international phone number, it is starting to feel as if there would be a greater chance to be accepted for a mission to Mars. Fitness: E- Psych eval: Fail Special skills: 0 Application: denied
  12. Let the praises come rolling in This post has been tagged by Yuzu_legend as [NEWS].
  13. The Daily Spread Eagle - Business and Commerce Section Money Moneyson, Business correspondent Some CEO's understand how to make the most of Hanyuconomy Since the announcement of Hanyu Yuzuru one- man ice show Prologue in Hachinohe, Ao Mori, many businesses have looked for ways to increase commerce on the dates of the shows. Hotels in the region are completely booked in spite of rocketing prices for overnight stays. Some hoteliers have reportedly increased room prices by up to seven times. Now, the train operator will be providing extra services to accommodate the increased passengers numbers. Trains will run to ensure spectators arrive in Hachinohe in time for doors opening on both December 2nd and 3rd and two return services will run on Dec 3rd and 5th. All aboard the Yuzu Express, tickets please - woowoo Passengers should be aware that reservations for carriage 4A may be over subscribed.
  14. Thank you for sharing. Sounds so exciting, the standing tickets were the last tickets allocated. You are correct 90 minutes flew by. The bracelets lit up blue, looked beautiful. Good luck for Hachinohe
