  1. Could you possibly upload it to the video archive? We need to have this preserved!
  2. Axel with Wings will translate the press-con and, from I understood, the marathon interviews, too. It's going to take a while. It took about a month and a half for them to translate everything from Beijing, so I expect for them to take also about a month until they finish translating and subbing the presscon plus the interviews.
  3. I've been out in nature today and it was refreshing to some extent. Now I'm completely exhausted from the physical effort, but content. I think I'm finally able to make a clear post about what I'm feeling seeing how many of you expressed your feelings, too. I would've expected by now to have gotten over the "I'm so emotional I smile and laugh one second, but the next second I'll cry because I remember there's no more competitions with Yuzu". I haven't and one reason why that is is because there's so much stuff being posted on Twitter from Yuzu's career. The tributes are all very nice and heartfelt, but they all seem like a goodbye to me. We are celebrating his competitive career's end, of course, those tributes were to be expected. But I have barely seen any posts of like "guess what crazy sh*t Yuzu will pull next now that he doesn't have to play by the (stupid) rules anymore". Plus, all the content skaters are posting and other people from all over the world, new photos from past years being revealed... it's a lot. And I'm starting to believe that the moment we'll all get over this super emotional phase is when we see Yuzu in action, when we have a concrete visualization of what he's going to do. It might take a few months, a year, a year and a half, I don't know - in time, of course, the emotions will dull and little by little the social media environment will go back to being calmer. However, until Yuzu shows up with his first new professional athlete stuff (I say stuff because it's really hard to find a word that fits), we will be missing him in competitions. I hope at least part of this makes sense. As for his words, he was worried about how us fans will perceive the news. I saw some posts calling for an online organized fan-message similar to the Virtual Pooh Rain we did as well as that we should try and find ways to send him stuff to show our appreciation and our continuous support. I am fully on board with both ideas. If we go first with the online message, I say we have to act soon - the Virtual Pooh Rain was organized in less than a week if I remember correctly, we should do something like this now. Yuzu might not necessarily need this, but it's a kind way of supporting him. Plus, it might give us a respite from all the emotional turmoil. By saying this, I don't want to sound insensitive, most of us are in the same boat - emotionally. We might not want to go through social media at the moment because all of the memories that are being shared, we might want to stay off the internet because we want to process the news on our own - whatever the reason may be, I think we should still try and make the online support-message happen soon. Not only will it help encourage Yuzu and convince him (maybe not the right word) that we are still here for him, but it could also help all of us as a community to make a step towards a more happier perspective. Sorry for the long post. I hope I conveyed my message in a way that doesn't offend anyone and if it does, I'm truly sorry, that was not my intention at all. Edit: Completely unrelated to what I wrote - I have now the rank of 4Lo and having reached that before Yuzu announced his switch to pro athlete made me extremely happy - is my 3rd favourite Yuzu jump (3A, 4Lz, 3Lo) - so it might be totally insignificant, but it made me truly emotional and, frankly, I don't really want to get another rank. But I will continue posting and being active around here, so that's not possible, haha
  4. OH MY GOD, Pammi, please, I thought my tears ran out 😭😭
  5. Not at all a bad idea! Right now is the middle of the night for me and I have a couple of busy days coming, but on Friday/Saturday I will make a more detailed post and see if there are people who are willing to participate and also if anyone can help with organizing the thing.
  6. There's also the possibility, easier one I think, to do multiple days and watch the best performance of each program? But I'm afraid that will get too much with the Skating Party going on plus real life
  7. We could do polls in which we pit 2 programs against one another, sort of like a tournament, until we reach a manageable amount of performances that would last together for about 2 hours
  8. It's a very random idea, I don't know how to do it, though. What if we organize a day relatively soon to watch together some of Yuzu's performances? Underrated and the very best. We could do a twitch stream, something like that, for about 2 hours. Make a list of the performances we want to see and then watch it together as Fanyus. From competitions, from galas, from ice shows... I think it would be a good experience to celebrate Yuzu's amateur career. Feel free to shut this down, though, it's a thought based on emotional turmoil.
  9. I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the video archive of the Planet. I have just binged 2-hours worth of Yuzu's performances - both from competitions and ice shows. This man is not done. He's going to keep providing high quality programs and this time there's no more scoring stress, we are free. I am going to re-watch so many of his programs, so many of his interviews and media days. Thank you everyone! I also want to thank the organizers of the YuzuSkatingParty. That party that will go on until October is the perfect way to celebrate Yuzu's amateur career. I'm looking forward to more videos, more interviews, more performances added to the video archive, this time from Yuzuru Hanyu's "professional athlete's" chapter.
  10. I will stop speculating from now on This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  11. The interviews are done remotely - Yuzu's in his hotel room
  12. This seems the most plausible option
  13. I'm still bursting into tears from time to time - it's a roller coaster of mixed emotions. I was looking forward to seeing him skate in Torino, so I am sad about not being able to do that. On the other hand, I'm happy and excited that he goes on into his pro skater career with no regrets and content. I wish I could've experienced more than just Beijing. I wish I could've experienced the reveal of his programs through media day, I wish I could have witnesses the reveal of his costumes at ACI, I wish I could have seen him podium live. These are my regrets for not trying harder during the 2018 PyeongChang to find a stream for the Men's SP & FS - I would've discovered him then alas... life got in the way. I'm happy I got to experience his last FaOI as an amateur skater, I'm glad I saw him reveal two new programs. And I'm so happy I found this community. I will continue supporting him and I will go on to find any available stream that will show his future performances be it in ice shows or whatever other environment.
  14. I'm processing this, as a fan since Beijing, it's tough news. But I'm excited to see what he'll bring on the ice during ice shows. It's the start of a new era and I'm grateful to be here for it.
  15. I was so wrong and I'm sorry, but I truly am happy for him
  16. This is the ANNNews streaming link, not the one from the twitter thread This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  17. I think this is going to be the longest 1h30min in my life...
  18. That's why I'm reluctant to renew my Japan TV subscription. But there must be some channel out there broadcasting the whole thing. I don't how reliable the info is, but I saw someone say that YT channels of several news broadcasters will stream the conference. It's just a rumour, so don't quote me on that.
  19. MBS (Ch. 10 on Japan Standard TV) is broadcasting the conference live. Can anyone do a live stream?
  20. I'm putting in this post every positive thing that we know so far (or at least, all the positive things that I remember) Yuzu is also a very considerate person. He wouldn't lead JSF on to then let them know he changed his mind. JSF might not be the good guys, but they would not publish something and CONFIRM they have had contact with Yuzu just for kicks because it would come and bite them in the a**. Yuzu has been beaming with happiness during FaOI, there were no questions about his future plans, completely understandable since he wanted to enjoy the time there. Now, it's a presscon because we haven't heard from him at all. So what if he hasn't held one in previous seasons? Let me remind you that the last presscon at Beijing was because there were a lot of people wanting to interview him. He said back then he'd make a decision with a clear head. Considering that he never gave ANY indication he's done, there's no need to believe the newspaper rumours. It's unfair to him and it puts unnecessary stress on you as people. Yuzu wants to land the quad Axel in front of everyone: 1. Ice shows lighting is horrible, any kind of quad is dangerous, Yuzu knows that 2. Ice show rinks are small compared to competition ones. Considering the height and length a 4A requires, show rinks ARE NOT suitable at all. Yuzu wouldn't risk it like that. 3. Everyone won't see him in ice shows. Everyone will see him in person and on TV and who knows where else during COMPETITIONS. Also, Yuzu talked about wanting to bring the 4A in front of everyone AFTER the ISU's joke of a conference. EDIT: More stuff -> How does retiring after the chaos Beijing was work? Do you really see Yuzu retiring after an ill-luck Olympics? Do you genuinely believe that (one of) the greatest figure skater(s) of all time will retire after in his last competition he popped a 4S because of a HOLE IN THE ICE? Do you think he will retire after he tried on the biggest stage the 4A? Do you think he will retire after falling on a 4S? Do you think he will retire on ISU's terms? No. And I will say it - if his ankle injury was severe enough to take him out of competition, he wouldn't have participated in ice shows with a terribly injured ankle. We know from him the ankle was healing slower, but we also know he does take care of himself and he knows his limits. He jumped 4Ts, 3As, 3Fs, 3Los in ice shows. He showed us 4T3A3T3A! WITHOUT HOPS IN BETWEEN! If that's not I'M AT MY BEST I don't know what that is! Edit 2: There were apparently no presscons held after Sochi 2014 nor after PyeongChang 2018 seasons. BUT: During Sochi it wasn't needed - he was 19, top skaters rarely leave the competition scene at 19. After PyeongChang he announced he'll continue during Continues with Wings. In English even. If you search in PH's video archives, you'll find it. Now, after Beijing, he hasn't made a statement either. Since he hasn't talked at all about what he wants to do next and since his fame rose even more, I'm not surprised a presscon is in the works.
  21. I'm bringing this back! JSF has been asked whether they updated without checking with Yuzu, they said they DID check before updating their profile for the 2022-2023 season. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  22. You're right, that's the reason why Beijing presscon was held. Now I also believe there are similar reasons for tomorrow's presscon. Especially since he didn't talk at all during FaOI about concrete future plans (except to still go for the 4A).
  23. Friendly reminder that Yuzu must be sleeping like a baby right now and we're all out here checking the time every hour
