Wow, this is somewhat painful to read, and bittersweet. It looks like the 4 years after 2018 Olympics -and Beijing Olympics too- have been exceptionally hard for Yuzu, in many ways. I'm glad he's learning to love himself, and learning who to trust, too. I don't know if he lurks and reads this forum, but, if he does, I really hope he realises how many people love, cherish and trust him as an amazing human being, not only as an athlete or something like an idol. Yuzu: be happy and fight for your dreams.

I couldn't agree more. Younger skaters deserve a less corrupted, less biased and more objective ISU.

He must have felt really frustrated with ISU and their absurd and unfair behaviour.

I agree. ISU was making things harder and harder for him, the new rules were absurd, and JSF didn't treat him right. Now he's free to skate the best he can, and I'm sure we'll all enjoy it. I just hope he'll skate outside Japan, too.
