If I remember correctly Javi skipped gala at european championships in 2017 because he fell badly during FS. Not really skipped since he still showed up and talked to the audience but he didn't skate that day. When skaters skip gala they have to pay a lot of money as penalty (I think Yulia once did... not intentionally though). They can skip it when they are badly injured but since Yuzuru was able to skate during competition I don't think they would classify his injury as serious... I hope Yuzu will have fun at gala. Maybe some nice pairs skater will lift him up and will skate around so Yuzu can rest his ankle

Then it's good I saw a tweet saying that they will invite people from podium and and a few additional ones. I hope we will see a lot of silly interactions with Yuzu.
