From the bringing up of freaking Notre Dame de Paris (his first choreo with DW?), to that beautiful finale, to the decision of not jumping, to his tears, to the hugs. I’m just very emotional right now. Will come back here in some hours, because I need to process LOL THANK YOU so so so much miracle boy. For everything. For always giving your all. For always being humble, for always caring. (also please guys let us bask in this and refrain from projecting too much of our anxiety on him… I think he made it pretty clear his motivations by now, regardless of gp assignments he loves skating).

Is been hours and I’m still mulling over it. The fans accs that there’s some great impact from his performances where your mind gets a little cloudy makes perfect sense, I wasn’t even there and feel about it! While many here have already discoursed about meaning and lyrics, let me gush a little about Yuzu’s technique. First of all, I’m continuously marveled how in synch he is with the music, especially a live performed one. I know this, but is like he gets slightly better everytime. He and Miyakawa worked absolutely great together, you can see it in the opening, really wish we could have more of the two honestly. Another show perhaps… He and Megumi from the first half left a great impression on me, Suga Shikao I already knew, but these two I will remember for a long time for their own performances. Speaking of getting better everytime, those spins. The entrance, the speed and the variations - I saw a lot of people commenting on how some of the arm positions used to be common in ladies’, and yep, Yuzu pulls this type of stuff unapologetically. His flexibility and form permits him to get the most of it as well (see Y spiral, where he held a little longer than I expected, considering how tired he was). The timed jumps. The besti quats with the arm choreo, which by the way looks so good! So controlled. Covering the ice, even considering the minimal choreo in some intervals. Really, really want to see this developed into a bigger rink gala, with more stuff in between even. Anyway, the more I think about it the more I like, and I think I already know where this ranks in my personal ex programs preference. What a strong first impression. I’m very happy.
