ouch, this is hurtful to read. anyway: thanks god in italy medias don't ehm, care about fs. this all nc vs yuzu thing will not hurt my poor heart (and morover we will probably have the "fanyu honoris causa" MAx Ambesi commenting on winter olys).I guess I'll have just to stay away from social media for a while and I'll be ok. cannot stay away from questionable scores though :'(

@Yuzurella I love the commentary so much, so I'm already streaming it twice a day anyway, let's upgrade to 4Times XD

I basically agree with you. it's not only the content of his statements but the undertone that got me angry I coul manage to downlod the video before it was taken off and while I was listening (to check the context of what I had just read) my blood started to boil. Being a yale student I would have expected at least a nice escape from an embarassing question and, well, not to be as senstive as yuzu (becouse noone is like yuzu) but more thoughtfull. what mama rum said made me reconsider (a bit) the context: the one who is questioning about fs being feminine etc was dragging him into a bad topic. he answered according to the style of the conversation. he shouldn't have (wether he thinks that or not) and I've found his attitude offensive (for the fs community, for lgbt community and as a feminist aswell). so MAYBE he's just an american boy who wanted to play hockey and happened to be (very) good at fs and struggles trying to be considered a proper athlet in a very toxic masculine environment. A boy who has just chosen the wrongets way to achieve that

oh I was taking twitetr post as reference but you probably are right regarding n.c. interview I have permission to share here what "rum raisin" wrote on discord. I think this is very wise "I hate to beat a dead horse, but I'm bringing up Nathan again. I just caught up on this whole thread, and I didn't see anyone else say what I'm thinking. Nathan's behavior seems a little performative. I mean like when straight dudes are talking to other straight dudes, they say things and and act in ways to emphasize their straightness. Kind of like saying, "No homo," before complimenting each other. So while I do agree that he should have been a better ally and taken more pride in the diversity of identities in FS, I think it explains why he acted in a way unlike what we have seen from him before. And I really think it says a lot about his personal insecurities"

max ambesi talking about (actually praising) yuzu in a today show https://fb.watch/6UrCspQutN/ elena costa shared it on fb, there are no subs but I've made a rough translation of the yuzu's section LADY interviewer : Who are going be the protagonists of the next Olympics? MAX AMBESI: the protagonists are the ones we expect. we are following the names with attention. in men's field, you cannot fail to mention hanyu yuzuru. I would say (he is) unreachable. At the moment he is more focused on completing the 4A. He would become the first man in history to complete two quadruple fours before anyone else. Legendary stuff. One way or another, at Beijing he will be there and he will not be a supporting actor. There (in bejing)The man you need to defeat will be Nathan Chen : this American who gives little space to fantasy, makes few mistakes, and who is very helped by this scoring system which certainly gives him a big hand. Beside him, we'll see :there are some young emerging athletes, some from Japan, some from elsewhere. We have seen the Italians do quite well in the recent World Championships, the ambition is not lacking for both and the goal is to get among the top 10 because doing more is not easy, the level of men's skating is very high. But if you ask me the name to follow in Beijing, what do you want me to say? yuzuru hanyu! we are talking about a legend, about something that goes beyond skating. in these days yuzuru skated in a show in Japan, Dream on Ice. if you can, Go and watch the video of Masquerade: it is not skating, it is something that goes beyond. It's one with art. we're in another dimension. LADY: in these last competitions yuzuru had the problem of managing the level of Nathan Chen. MAX: actually, the problem is different: yuzuru won the short program of the last world championships, then there was a problem before the free. a physical problem that did not allow him to enter the track at the top of his condition. Nathan Chen earned victory, he hasn't done any mistake. We would have liked to see Yuzuru in top physical and mental condition to see if there would have been a chance to win that competition. I wouldn't give too much weight to what happened in that world championship. basically we're talking about a man who has won everything in his career and has won what he's won one more time, if not more. he is history. We're beyond. I also understand his desire to focus on that incredible element which, even for those who have skated competitively for a short time, is something unthinkable. he is trying to push himself beyond what the human condition allows you to achieve. the quadruple Axel is madness. it's as if we were already thinking about the five rotations: OK it's four and a half. But what does it change? Those (skaters) who do quadruples, if they're lucky, do 3 and a quarter because they somehow steal the rotation. he doesn't. so we wish him luck in the pursuit of this incredible element, convinced that he will be able to “bring it home” (succeed). LADY: has he ever managed to complete it in competition? MAX: in competition he has never submitted it, in training he tries it. he says he has never made it fully. Someone says under his breath that he has actually closed it sometimes. but he is interested in taking it to competition and to become the first to have done it and even thought about it... he has always had this dream in his head and we hope he can make it come true and we will support him until he will close it in the way he wants to, on ice. [news] ?

toshl has spoken: yuzu-sama. nothing else to add! toshl, beautiful soul, thank you BV? that scream! sometimes I can see dark shadows casted on his vibrant soul, that scream was the nuclear explosion that in that moment blew them apart. anyway it somehow broke my heart. he is so precious and that scream, so deep and raw, it's still roumbling in my soul. I felt like embracing a sword and go fighting whatever may hurt him. tiny boy with precious immense soul, all I ask is for you to be happy and serene. go and catch your dream, whatever they might be.

Unfortunately I am not phisically going, I just ment I will join the tradition and write my wish and hang it to a tree . I'll use deepl to translate from italian to japaneese (or I'll ask a friend to do so) and will do my best to copy the translated text (thought I should write the italian version aswell just in case stars might misunderstand me LOL ) https://www.sendaitanabata.com/en here the english site for tanabata in sendai (apparently I was wrong about the calendar stuff. 7 july according to the chinese calendar, august according to amore ancient one)

there are only two types of fanyus: those who squeak while watching videos and those who lie and say they don't. LOL (just kidding)
-
I confess I sometimes scream (little squeaks mainly, not proper screaming all the time) while watching videos
